Finally some beautiful shots that give credit to the line. Let's bet that in one year this car will drive everyone crazy? This triple layer yellow works much more than red. Those rims work hugely more than those trivial simple and a little tired on the specimen in red.[/QUOTE]

I saw it again at Pebble, and even in natural light the reservations remain on the design. There are aspects that work fine, already discussed here at length, and others that are just quite wrong, again no need to go over old ground, it feels like a 458 v 4 , I like it but don't love it. I guess I do not see any elegance or finesse (no doubt engineering requirements hinder that) and a lot of the design elements are already on other vehicles or are being copied . However, it will sell well, and will go like crazy and no doubt be dynamically exceptional. Ferrari have said it will make them a mountain of money, it is unlimited and accessible to all, many love it, so lots of happy people , customers and investors.

It made me appreciate the Pista more though, that looks a much more coherent and balanced design. The real wow car for me was the P90/C that did look space age in comparison but has a lot more design freedom. Oh and the Monza SP1 , that is beautiful.

    Thanks for sharing,
To me it's a completely different design if you want to compare with the 458.
Need to see it in the flesh.

    Gorgeous pix, thanks.
The car is undeniably beautiful IMO; dynamic, aggressive, fresh, interesting intersecting lines.
However, what scares the heck out of me and likely will keep me from buying it are:
    1. A Ferrari relying upon batteries and complex electronics to run.
    2. Now that they have entered the “technology wars” (not just making iconic Italian dream machines) this tech will be obsolete relatively quickly and secondary market will be like Sparta 300 blood bath.

Looks too much like the new corvette... it’s okay from the front but too much like every other mid engined car out there to justify the price tag

Other than general ME proportions I dont see any similarity to the new C8. Could you point them out?

Looks like the C8 in the same way the F8 looks like a Camaro. It’s obvious!

I figured out what is distracting about the car- the winglets over the headlights. They look odd. It’s not any better in real life.

Other than that the car is great.

yes, more specifically those striped day time running led lights. So distracting. Are they struggling to create a new signature headlight styling?

I think they are trying to be creative in finding more real estate to use for aerodynamics. Whether changing the look so dramatically is a price worth paying for aero is an open question. Perhaps history is in their side though, cars that have challenged convention often end up heralding a new look across the motor industry. Chris Bangle’s 5 series of almost 20 years ago is a good example of a very controversial design that ended up heavily influencing car design for a decade.

His 6 and 7 Series and the Z4 were epic failures though...
