Ferrari Sightings

Hadn't seen anything all week, then went out with the rest of the relatives for lunch and unexpectedly saw a light green Aston Martin DB9 Volante with VA plates parked at the Golden Sands hotel in Carolina Beach.

 

Saw Howard's YES! Roadster today on 40 headed the opposite direction of me. Does that thing actually have a top? There were a lot of rain clouds around.

 

White Nissan GT-R at 10:00 this morning in Wilmington near the intersection of US 421 and NC 132.

 

Yesterday's sightings:

White Mercedes SLS AMG at Philips Place near SouthPark Mall. First one I've seen outside of shows.
White Ferrari F12 at Piedmont Town Center near SouthPark Mall. Saw two different F12's on back to back days after not seeing one on the streets for over a year.
Red Ferrari California at Piedmont Town Center
Dark Gray Audi R8 V10 Spider on Rea Road

Today's Sightings:

White Lamborghini Gallardo on Sharon Road infront of SouthPark Mall
Black Nissan GT-R on Carmel Road

Last Sunday (a week ago): red Tesla Roadster at Waverly Place in Cary.
Friday (two days ago): new black Maserati Quattroporte on Creedmoor in Raleigh.
Yesterday: silver Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster on Wade Ave in front of Whole Foods, and dark blue/ navy top Bently Continental GTC in the Whole Foods parking lot. I had seen both before.
Today: gray Audi R8 V8 (post-refresh), which I've spotted before, as well as seen at C&C, and late-model Maserati Quattroporte while eating at the Mellow Mushroom near downtown.

 

Several Ferrari sightings today.

Spotted three Ferraris drive past the Best of Britain Show in South End today. First, a 458 Italia with what appeared to be a camouflage wrap similar to that of an SLS I spotted on Friday. Second there was a blue Mondial that ended up pulling in and parking. Then I caught a glimpse of a yellow 360 driving by the show.

 

Great find on the white F12 Dustin. Pretty sure it was Michael Jordan's car! Seen it once or twice in his garage in uptown but never gotten very good pics of it.

 

Several good sightings today:

-Dark gray McLaren 12C in Cornelius. Only caught a glimpse of it. Looked awesome. Anyone else seen this one? Today was my first sighting.
-Black Aston Martin Vantage on Johnston Road this evening.
-White Nissan GT-R in Cornelius.
-Red Nissan GT-R on Johnston Road.
-Two black Jaguar F-Type R's on I-77 near Huntersville/Cornelius. One convertible, one coupe.

 

Yesterday after lunch time, saw a silver 996 Porsche 911 GT3 at Walgreens on Franklin St in Chapel Hill.

 

Not a sighting but a hearing. I definitely or at least think heard a Ferrari 458 speciale hard accelerate in the Waxhaw Marvin area. I know the car and the sound rsrracer please chime in because I am pretty sure that was you around 7 pm yesterday as I was sipping some wine on the patio. Its the best Ferrari out now by far nothing better outside of the really special cars 288 gto, f40, f50, Enzo, and La Ferrari.

 

I hope it wasn't my car yesterday as I am at the coast!!

But it was me on Wednesday.

 

I stopped by to take it for a spin. Hope you don't mind. I just forgot to ask.

 

I forgot to mention, my brother said he saw a black 458 heading north on 77 near Westinghouse Blvd on Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday, July 2nd, in Charlotte:

-White Ferrari California in the valet at Sullivan's Steakhouse in South End, along with a black Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead (next to the BMW) and matte white Rolls Royce Ghost (behind where I was crouching when snapping this picture). The California must've had a wrap on it, because it wasn't quite matte but definitely wasn't metallic. I think it was owned by one of the owners of Metrolina Auto Group. The Ghost was definitely from Metrolina, don't think the Phantom was though.

Friday, July 3rd, in Huntersville:

-White Nissan GT-R on 73 in front of Whole Foods heading towards I-77 around 8:45 I think. Wasn't going to mention it but it seems like one of you guys just picked up a GT-R so I thought I'd post it.

Saturday around lunch time I saw a dark blue 458 in the same spot I saw the Mclaren last Wednesday in Cornelius.

Yesterday I spotted the same silver F12 on Johnston Road in Ballantyne. Good to see this one being driven so often!

 

Today in Garner, couldn't believe it when I saw a white Jaguar XK R-S Convertible heading in the opposite direction of me on Timber Dr right near Woodland Rd at about noon. Only the second XK R-S I've seen on the streets.

 

I understand those are new but how could that possibly be a special sighting, much less a sighting that is not a Ferrari, except for warning the owner about the future misery they will endure should they keep the car for more than a couple years?

 

Are you saying I should only mention the Ferraris I see? Never sure if someone on here might possibly own something I see around, so I usually try to mention most of the interesting cars I see (With the exception of most Bentleys, Maseratis, and Rolls-Royces unless any of them are parked near a Ferrari, like in my post above).

 

I don't want to be one to stop the fun. Folks probably enjoy the posts regardless of the vehicle.

 

Tangerine Lambo southbound on I 540 about 11:15 this morning. Was in the 328 northbound. Too much traffic for me to identify model...car was same color as yours Patrick so sorry if I misnamed the color

 

Saw that dark grey BMW i8 again today at Whole Foods in Cary, about 2:15 or so. It sure gets around.

 

Black 458 Spider on South Boulevard in Charlotte around 10:30 this morning.

 

Blue 458 in Fort Mill/Tega Cay yesterday morning.
