Well how about that... Today, Sept 3rd, in Cary: Red Ferrari F430 Spider on US 64 East in front of Autopark today at about 4:00. Unfortunately my camera focused on the stupid sign post in between me and the F430 (are our drivers so bad that they can't figure out to stay to the right of a median?), but I was very surprised to see another red F430 Spider within about a mile of the one I saw last week. The plate on this Spider is different than the one I posted from last week, and I believe the one from last week is new to the area also. And I saw a silver Quattroporte and a black GranTurismo Cabriolet in Cary yesterday. I'd seen both before a couple of times. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Today, Sept 4th, in Cary: White Maserati GranTurismo Cabriolet at Whole Foods today after lunch. Was eating lunch there and saw it pull in...really nice color combo, white with black roof, seven-spoke grey wheels, and red interior. Think it's new to the area.
Yesterday afternoon I was driving home down Hope Mills Road in Fayetteville and saw a black 430 Spider. It was only the second time in six years of ownership that I have spotted a Ferrari in the wild when I was out in mine (exception being at events). PDG Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
A few sightings this weekend: Friday: Black Aston Martin DB9 at 131 Main. Saturday: Black Aston Martin V12 Vantage at the intersection of Johnston Road and Providence Road West. Orange Lotus Elise on Highway 521. Was a post 2011 face lift model. Black Audi R8 on Johnston Road.
I see this daily on my way home, pretty sure the guy DD it. I love these. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Blue Lamborghini Aventador at SouthPark Mall this afternoon. Red Ferrari 458 on Johnston Road this evening.
anyone know if the 488 is in the US yet? I swear yesterday I saw a brand new 488 running on the NYS Thruway. It had to be you cant miss the big side vents and square back.
I dunno, I heard that they wouldn't be here until early next year but one of my friends in the Cornelius area said he saw one on the interstate. He's a car guy too but I'm kind of thinking he might have been mistaken...
Just saw a rossion in mooresville. Rear end of these are super ugly..... Image Unavailable, Please Login
See this on my daily run through mooresville, guy drives it pretty much everyday. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Holy crap! Those are pretty rare. Taillights might be from an old Sonata, which certainly doesn't help.
Last couple of days... Saturday, Sept 12th, in Charlotte: Red Ferrari 328 GTS on Sharon Rd at the Colony Rd intersection at about 4:20. I don't see many classic Ferraris so it was cool to get this one on camera. Was it anybody on here? Silver newer Aston Martin Vantage turning onto Colony Rd from Sharon Rd at a little after 6:00. Black Mercedes-AMG GT S in Phillips Place at 6:40. I hadn't seen one before so I thought I'd post a picture. I later saw it again on Sharon Rd. Grey Bentley Continental Supersports on Fairview Rd in front of Whole Foods at 8:00 or so. While regular Continental GTs and GTCs are pretty common, this was only the second Supersports I'd ever seen. Monday, Sept 14th, in Charlotte: White Ferrari California T at the Epicentre valet at 12:00 or so around lunch. It looked like the same one I posted a few months back from Phillips Place. Other somewhat notable sightings include several GranTurismos, Continentals, Alpina B7s, and a Ghost scattered about throughout the couple of days I was in Charlotte. The 328 pictured above is indeed an Fchatter ---- Mark Merkel. FYI, his 328 GTS is now for sale as he just took delivery of a 77 308 GTB
Today, Sept 17th, in Cary: Black Maserati GranTurismo on US 64 heading east in front of Autopark at like 5:15. Yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera at the MacGregor Country Club at 5:20. Picture attached because I've only seen one Superleggera in the wild before. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Saw this red scud pulled in front of me today on 485 inner loop by matthews Image Unavailable, Please Login
Last night, Sept 19th, in Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach: About 15 vintage American makes (in the 1910-1925 range) in a parking lot at 7:30 on Waynick Blvd near the Oceanic restaurant. I think they might have come from a car show because the lot they were parked in was too small for a decent sized gathering. At about 7:45 all of the owners flooded out of a house across the street, walked over to their respective cars, and drove off. White BMW i8 and black Audi R8 V10 Spider parked at the Terrazo Trattoria restaurant at 8:15. I only saw them because I needed to fill the car up for the drive back home, and there was a gas station at that plaza. The i8 must have been brand new because it had a temporary plate, and the R8 owner said it was his first exotic.
I think that was the sixth i8 I've seen so far? Guess I happen to have been in the right place at the right time, six times lol. They're very distinctive looking but I'd definitely go with the R8 Spider before the i8, especially since it was a V10 and six speed manual. Just not crazy about how much attention I'd draw to myself in an i8. Oh cool, I wondered if it was the same one (I recall you mentioning before that your neighbor had a yellow Superleggera). I hadn't ever seen a first-gen Superleggera in the wild before so it was definitely an awesome sight to see.
Today, Sept 21st, in Cary/Apex: Dark grey Audi R8 V10 turning into the Sheetz on Ten-Ten Rd at U.S. 1 today just a bit before 1:00 pm. Looked like the same six speed car I saw a Waverly Place a while back.
