Forgot to mention: Silver Lotus Elise in the Pinehurst/Southern Pines area Sunday, November 29th. Today a silver/gray Maserati Quattroporte on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh.
On Tuesday in Charlotte, saw a light grey Aston Martin Rapide on Kings Dr near Queens Dr. Also saw a couple of GranTurismos drive through the Queens/Providence Rd intersection later.
Red 458 on Guilford College Rd just south of Friendly Ave a few days ago. Black FF at Didona car stereo last wk.
Yesterday @ 4:15pm in Morrisville @ Morrisville Carpenter & Davis Drive, a red 355F1 spider with black top...sounded good as it buzzed by Triangle Wine!
On Thursday, in Cary, saw a grey Porsche 997 911 GT3 at Edinburgh Dr and US 64 at about 4:30. I think it was the same one I've seen numerous times around Cary before. On Friday, at about noon, I was leaving the Escher exhibit at the Art Museum in Raleigh and saw a yellow Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce sitting outside the main entrance. Don't see many of those so I thought it was worth a mention.
Saw a Rosso Fiorano/Mugello (or whatever burgundy color it's called on a 458 Speciale (?)) going eastbound on I-40 in Raleigh Monday late morning. Kudos for driving in lousy weather!
Red Alfa Romeo 4C on Elm Lane by Stonecrest Shopping Center yesterday evening. Starting to see more of these around lately.
I would love to have one of those if it offered a manual transmission (unfortunately, it doesn't). Interesting that you saw one yesterday because my brother mentioned to me that he saw one in downtown Raleigh yesterday afternoon too. Yesterday, in Cary, saw two Nissan GT-Rs by Crossroads Plaza. Saw the first one leaving Best Buy at around 3:30. It was matte dark grey. The second one, which was silver, was turning onto Crossroads Blvd from Jones Franklin Rd as I was leaving the plaza. The driver really knew how to signal a turn... #sarcasm
Last Monday an orange McLaren 650S on South Bouelevard. Unbelievably good looking car. I believe it was one of the Metrolina Auto Group Cars. Yesterday a red Ferrari 512 around Huntersville yesterday afternoon. Sounded great when it drove through the intersection.
Yellow 360 Modena at the QT station in Fort Mill filling up tonight. Guess if the gas there is good enough for a Ferrari, it's good enough for my car lol
Yep. I'll use them in a pinch. Just don't get them confused with the similar sounding, but cheesier (in my experience) and non-Top Tier - Quick Trac and Race Trac stations! T
Jeez....the car scene has been really non-existent for me over the past month or so. Not lying when I say that my best sighting has been a cashier at Whole Foods. lol
Lol I know right? I expected to see *something* yesterday because of the weather. My office is in Southpark which almost never disappoints for car spotting. But nothing.
1 of 250 built. I believe (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), but...I believe this is the only 911n Sport Classic allowed to enter the US (was designed as a euro-only 911 variant). The owner had to obtain special EPA/DOT dispensation for this one car to enter.
Wow. Maybe it's just luck, but no matter the weather, I have almost always seen something the times I have been in Southpark. One time it was pouring rain all day, yet I still caught site of two exotic convertibles, a California and then a Phantom Drophead, within a couple minutes of each other. Other times it'll be gorgeous outside and all I'll see are a couple Maseratis and Bentleys (which I think are somewhat boring outside of the GranTurismo MC and Continental Supersports). I'll probably be over there tomorrow though, so hopefully whatever is keeping everyone from driving their cars will have stopped. On another note...according to a reliable friend in Cary, I believe someone there has taken delivery of a 488 GTB. Does anyone know, would that be the first 488 in NC?
There is a well known FCA member and loyal and respected Ferrari owner who was expecting delivery of his 488 about now yes. First one in NC? Don't know...eager to see the 488....maybe tomorrow on FCA New Year drive to Saxapahaw?
