I am from Winston-Salem and took part in the Players Driving Experience on Sat. April 29th. It was a blast (the F430 was outstanding). There were 18 (normally 24) participants, and we were alternating cars throughout the day. You got to spend about 30 mins driving each of the 6 vehicles. There had food, shirts, hats, and other free items. You were allowed to drive alone, with staff, or with a guest (more money). These cars were driven fairly hard over a 9 hour period, and they held up well. This was a good chance to "really" test drive some great cars for a reasonable price.

Doc S - That wasn't yours truly!! My TR now belongs to GRANDSPORTC3 (F-Chat name), in Clearwater Florida. After being at VIR all weekend and getting a few rides, I am more inclined to begin searching for a new ride :) !! If you happen to see a green Nissan Xterra with a Scuderia shield decal and Connecticut plates, then that is most likely me :) .

You got room in your garage for another F-Car??? And do you want me at your house DAILY asking for parts??? ;)

Yeah, we can make room. In fact, the crew is here today fixing the roof. Heck, when I got my first toy car, I kept it in a storage unit here in Winston Salem that was HVAC controlled. Worked wonderfully, and was very secure.

And yes, I do want you buying parts daily.

Spotted a charcoal DB9 Volante, two Jaguar XKE convertibles (pastel yellow and gray), and this roadster which I am unable to identify. I figured some one here would perhaps know what it is. Well, after looking at some pics online, I'm thinking it was a Jag too.

I saw that same type of Jag not too long ago in the Cary area. It was an older guy (not too old) maybe in his late 40's with sunglasses on cruising.

If it was charcoal gray, I see him everywhere too. I think he glued his butt to the seat and figures he might as well drive around. If you are at North Hills during the evening, you will see it. I presume he owns a business up there and he spends a lot of time at Starbucks and will circle until the front space opens up.

This picture is 3 years old but I never did post it and don't know that anyone else ever posted anything like it, or even took pictures of this occurance.

If you know anything about the 1967 NART Spider, then you know what an extremely rare occurance this was; not only to see it out and about but to have both the NART and the Enzo parked side-by-side! Thank you Bob and Eddie for being SO VERY GENEROUS with your cars!!!!!

FYI, in sheer market value, the Enzo in the background is worth WAY less than the NART Spider - which is one of only 10 ever made and the only original owner kept NART Spider on the planet.

Both cars are simply amazing. Bob, if you surf here, I hate you sold the Enzo and certainly understand why you did. I sure appreciate you're having given me time in it!

    Cheers,
    Chuck

That's the Sleep Inn in Danville, right? Sad, but the two cars there were worth as much as the whole motel.
