In a press release issued today, Ferrari has announced it has come to terms with EVERY driver in Formula One. 19 current drivers, plus 3 test drivers whose names were not disclosed, have come to terms on a 5-year contract which runs from 2006-2010. According to the Italian team, the contracts are worth a combined $440 million annually, roughly $20 million per driver. Asked what their plans are for the 22 drivers, chief engineer Ross Brawn replied, "Er, not sure, really. We may run 20 test cars, or have them take turns. We'll see." The only driver excluded from the deal was current future-ex Toyota driver Ralf Schumacher, who is reported to be in talks with Midland Jordan and Minardi. The Minardi drive could be in jeopardy, however, since the team was recently purchased by the Red Bull racing interest. "Ralf doesn't really fit into Red Bull's scheme." reported a team spokesman on conditions of anonymity. It is uncertain what the remaining teams plan to do to fill their sudden driver vacancies, but Frank Williams has been rumoured to by out the contracts of Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello for $75 million apiece.

Wow! I love the silly season!

Also, along with signing Rossi, Ferrari is also looking at signing Max Biaggi along with Caparossi.

Funny my ass ! What better way to ensure a world championship than to have all drivers on the grid have a commitment to Ferraris success. Brilliant move.
If this still doesnt work next year, Ferrari plans to buy controling interests in all teams except Minardi because Paul Stodardt is such a thorn.

So thorn he might be but he will no longer be sticking it into the FIA. Pity now we will just have a bunch of c0ck suckers following Max around.
