With how much the Enzo is growing on me, I was just wondering how it could come much closer to a feel of driving an F1 car. The only thing I can think of is if it had three seats, like a McLaren F1, with the driver sitting in the middle. But the two-seat layout has been a Ferrari staple for almost their whole history; it helps make an F50, for example, unique from the aforementioned F1. Perhaps that is because these are supposed to be street cars before track cars, and be comfortable getting in and out of, with seats wide enough for most everybody. But just imagine the increased level of visibility and center of gravity that can be attained. I just feel that it is something that keeps the best-handling cars in the world from being their best. Or does placement of the fuel tank really help offest that much? I guess that it might not be practicable to have the driver, fuel cell, and engine all in the dead middle.

I had a Mclaren F1, yes sitting in the middle was interesting . but I believe the ENZO handles better. I don't think the middle seating effected the "center of gravity" too much. By th way... The ENZO is a better car!!!

It better be ... it's 10-15 years newer! lmao

As far as F1, I believe the Yamaha prototype (can't remember the name ... 10 years ago) is as close as it will get. Will try to dig a pic. Other than that ... oh yeah, Ariel Atom is a driver-in-the-center decent lil british car. It's gotta be as light as possible to resemble F1 feeling.
