I still don't understand what John Collins wanted to ewpress with that livery. I find both the car's liveries absolutely ugly... the red pinstrip on 812 wheels... why ???
I think he wanted to try something different than the usual paint/stripes schemes, without going full "pop art" (one of his passions) with too many things at once. I actually like #7, Magma and Silverstone offer a nice contrast, especially with two different finishes.

The P7 FXX license plate reminds me of an earlier Ferrari special project. It was called P6 and was silver/gray with a red interior. The 330 P4 is the Holy Grail of Ferrari designs and evolved later in the form of a couple of P series Pininfarina showcars. Perhaps Mr. Collins envisions a future P7 Ferrari Special Project design created with Mr. Manzoni's keen eye for the past and the future....
