You lucky dog, I love Hong Kong. It's where I had my first ride AND drive in a Ferrari, a Grigio Alloy 360 Spider.

I live in LA and HK in the TST area. You can see so many F cars in HK on the weekends (especially outside the hotels) you would think it's a car show. I saw a 612 Scaglietti parked on the side of a road last week (the first one I had seen there). Mostly I see 360's, 430's, and 355's (more coupes than spiders).

The head of our HK office has a Maserati Q-porte that she uses as a daily driver. She's had it for about a year now (a very nice car). Before that, she had a Maserati 3200 (the precursor to the Maserati gt). She's jealous because I have an F430 spider coming in June in LA. Given that tax differences, for what she paid for the Q-porte, I got the F-430 will all the bells and whistles. To own a car in HK is really expensive. They have a 100% tax on all cars (yes -- 100%!), parking garages are higher priced than NYC, and gas is over $6 a gallon now (hey--- but at least you still get full service). The average speed around town must be 10 mph and they have radar cops on cycles on most of the motorways.

If you want to own an Italian car in HK, you have to really, really want it!
