Please do not flame me for this, but I am looking at a Hyundai Genesis 4-door for a daily driver. It's really an outstanding car! We can debate that elsewhere :D

The only thing is - I seem to recognize the nefarious "glaze" on the interior pieces on the Hyundai Genesis. The pieces feel slightly different than the way they have felt on brand new Ferraris and Maseratis, but I am wondering if someone can confirm if Hyundai's method is DIFFERENT or if I should be concerned.

Anyone feel like taking a trip down to the local Hyundai dealer to poke around? Robbie?

    Best,

Not 100% certain but Hyundai is earning high marks for quality and reliability lately and I can't imagine them having a "sticky button" problem or else they'd have a PR and sales nightmare on their hands. I say buy with confidence.

I hear you. Thank you. I definitely would want to have "one of us" verify that there is a material they apply to the plastic pieces but that it's different or "better" than the Ferrari stuff. Hyundai is doing something; I just don't know what it is.

We have lots of Hyundais on this island. The paint ages very quickly and the clear plastic lenses too.
But they seem to mechanically work fine.
One of my friends here owns about 300 Hyundais and Kias, and replaces them after 2 years, before they start looking bad.
But he very seldom has any problems with them. And the problems they get are easioly fixed.
I will ask him when he is back and I am back if there are any Sticky problems with them after the 2 years.
