As a 308 owner, you may just be trapped in the past. The cars have been getting better and better and frankly, they are at the top of their game with road cars. F1 mid pack? Have you actually been watching anything other than VHS tapes of F1 from the '60's? As for the crop of new buyers being of the 'gold chain' set. That has the way it's been for decades. It's not until the cars get on the used market that the enthusiasts and drivers (as apposed to the waxers and valet stand crowd). Worse products? Seriously? Have you driven anything from the 348 on? They have gotten better and better as road and race cars. In the days of the 348 and 355 they were fairly uncompetitive in international racing. Then the 360 NGT won the FIA world championships. Likewise the 430, 458 and 488 have been hugely competitive. Not sure if you are an owner or not, but my bet is non owner.
I bought some initially as a novelty and conversation piece (I own Ferrari stock!), not thinking of any appreciation and basically writing it off. To be honest, did not pay attention to what it is doing and almost forgot I had it, so this is a pleasant surprise.
My God....when it was in the mid $60's a few short months ago I was going to pull the trigger....hindsight is 20/20
It's now trading over $110. I was thinking of selling at $70?! That was thousands of dollars ago. I was thinking Ferrari could pay for my next major. Now I'm thinking they can pay for my next car!
Hi. Falcon, i too was looking forward to the annual reports, but my broker never sent me any... did you ever get them? Thanks in advance
Me too. If only I had bought more!! I'm not selling since I like saying Im a (ever so tiny) shareholder. I also think they are doing a very good job on the financial side.
WOW! I completely agree! I have been saying that for a while! They definitely look japanese or japanese influenced.
I think if you look at the dashboard design, even more so. I'm not a fan of this decade Japanese design (i.e. Lexus spindle grill, and sharp boomarang lights) but do like the clean designs from the 90s...rx7, NSX, 300z, mr2 etc
I do get them and they are not impressive. Just the minimum requirement for SEC. No photos or narrative about the company. Just a black and white document of about 10 pages. I throw it out.
Thanks Falcon, I appreciate the information. I've seen online the hard copies for 16' and 17' and was confused why I wasn't getting them. I don't know how nice they look, but I know the person was asking $150 for it.
You're playing with the houses money now, let it ride! I wish I got in on it, but I'm too conservative in my investments .
Here is a 62 page document covering the first 6 months of 2017 Interim Report for the three and six months ended June 30, 2017 | Ferrari Corporate
All cars have gotten more reliable. Jaguars and Fiats and Ferraris can all be used as daily drivers now. Lost that special look and feel to me. HUGE, OMG HUGE! Drove in a California and drove a 458 once..no thanks. The kids of today care about electric cars and to the degree that they like performance ones, it's McLaren that captivates their interest. I was in London with my nephews recently and one of their friends. Despite being bred in private school they all talk in ebonics wanna be phrases. A McLaren flew by our bus and my nephew's friend yells something about how that ****'s dope bruh and my nephew says word in response. They point out Ferraris to me just cuz they know I'm a fan and out of respect say they look good but their heart's not in the brand. Their fantasy lifestyles as they describe them while in London all are complete Westminster apartments, McLaren cars and Teslas.
Stock is now over $114.00. If you want out And still make a little, SELL Covered Calls* until you get exercised. * Assuming you have 100+ shares.
The 2018 Formula 1 season starts in a little over a month. That should put an end to such silly comparisons. Oh wait... D'oh!
New high today, closed at $165.12. Ferrari's best performing product is it's stock! Can't wait for the SUV to arrive.
