Did a bit of research on here and found a few relating threads. Didn't really answer my questions though.

Are there any Ferrari tec training schools within the US?
No I don't want to become a Ferrari mechanic, but would enjoy the knowledge.

From what I was able to find most mechanics work their way up from other companies, then to a Ferrari dealership and then if they are lucky they are sent to Italy to be officially certified. Is this correct? Are there any other options?

Can one go to the Maranello factory independently and get the training there? Average cost?

No idea myself but I will bump your thread as I'm just curious at this point.

    No to all.

Even if there were a way, the only classes would be on the current model range.

This is a bit of a dumb answer to a different question. You could buy yourself a twin cam fiat spider, pull it all apart and rebuilt it, then buy an old Ferrari and do the same. It's a lot of fun. Or an Alfa.

In the end you would know a lot about wrenching on Ferraris. In the big picture to be good as any sort of tech it does take many years of experience. Doing it yourself does push you in the right direction though.

There are lots of good step by steps here on Ferrarichat but for myself I go back and read them periodically and after doing my 30K service I was able to get a lot more out of reading them again.
