Amazing. Any details on the parts list or how the new resistance band was created?

Just one small correction -- the "50009003" part number is the vendor's part number. The Ferrari part number is 140151 (which is also shown on the label with an FE prefix):

    Good day All,

Kudos to the group that did the research into this old controller along with them being able to fabricate a repair! That said, my approach would have been quite different in that I would simply redesign the controller circuity while maintaining the OEM size, fitment, and functionality. The design is not overly complex and if anything the only real effort would be to ensure that that the OEM knob, etc could be properly fitted/reused. If there are others who are in need of a replacement, post within this thread and if there is sufficient interest I can create a new and modern replacement solution.

    Cheers,

    Sam

I think this is one of the more common problems with tr’s as its wear based and not a design failure type problem. It would really benefit the community if you were interested in designing a new solution that we could build or buy. Please :)

Slight side question: where is the 1 amp fuse you speak of? Is this in the older controller box?

They eliminated the 1A fuse from the later 140151 speed controller of this thread. The 1A fuse location on the earlier 124078 controller is shown here:
