I’m curious if these tool kits you often see in restored cars are usually original kits that are restored as well, or they are knock-offs. Or, just well preserved originals?

ive seen tool kits at pebble beach that were full on nice repros to totally original. most kits are original with a few repros to round out. which is nice. to me a totally reproduced kit is like looking at a fake rolex, nice but who cares. a really nice original kit is to be admired both for its rarity and the owners desire to be authentic. it has true value.
