Just a reminder to please be careful. This is pretty close to my residence Absolutely horrific. Unconfirmed reports of the Ferrari being illegally passed by. Tesla who fled the scene. But of course automatically everyone focuses on the Ferrari and assume it was his fault
From the video Description that give additional detail to the previous speculation. Unclear as to fault. The deadly crash was reported on Santiago Canyon Road north of Silverado Canyon Road around 3:40 PM when witnesses say the driver of a Tesla attempted to overtake the red Ferrari. The Ferrari reportedly accelerated in attempt to avoid the Tesla passing, leading to a crash involving a Mazda3 and a Toyota Venza, witnesses said.
I saw the photo's of the aftermath. Terrible accident. Use caution folks. It is not worth dying over someone trying to pass you.
This was no "accident." This was a collision. This is NOT the first (or 2nd) time an F-car has "split in half" in SoCal. Most collisions occur, due to a chain of events/choices. Choice: Accelerating to "keep that pesky 'lectric car behind me" because I'm MORE important. Yup, things like that can put you in the ground. Just ask Nicoletti. But, you're going to have to use a Ouija board to do it...
I’m not going to place blame on anyone specific as I don’t know all the details. I feel bad for unnecessary the loss of life. I find Mainstream Media not mentioning the Tesla and the other victims telling. Keep in mind, the second video with all the details that I posted is not MSM.
From the looks of the video, the Tesla is there on the side of the road. So I don’t think it fled the scene. Also, it is clearly double lines, so what is the Tesla doing trying to overtake on double lines? May the Horse be with you
Anyone who has driven to Silverado Canyon knows just how dangerous that part of the road is. Lose control or go over the center line and bad stuff is going to happen even at a low speed. Looks to me like one of the cars split the CA in half and literally drove over the interior ripping out the seats and the steering wheel. The only way this could happen is the CA was 90 degrees to the flow of traffic. How he got that way is unknown. Maybe lost control, maybe hit by another car. But that section of road can be really dangerous and worse in the early morning and dusk when the sun is in your eyes.
Extremally sad news... did anyone know the driver of the Ferrari that died? Condolences to the family!!!
Horrible crash, some family is having a terrible Christmas they may never fully recover from. When you get older you realize there were many times it could have been you. "If only" is the biggest phrase in our language. May they somehow find peace. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11552363/Grandfather-71-killed-Ferrari-crash-car-split-half-Orange-County-crash.html
Condolences. Such sad news and I experienced this firsthand the other day I took my recently delivered car to gas up. Guys at the station were shouting out "hey rev it up!" and I just smiled back and said, "sorry, just gassing up for my boss". Not going to let my emotions drive me and make mistakes that could end up deadly.
Keeping cool nowadys is important When I took my Shelby GT350 to a coffee shop with friends, everyone looked at me driving way "expecting" a burnout or something.....I just drove away calmly....
