My story of a Ferrari Transporter:

It was my last day working at Pete Lovely Racing. I was sick as a dog, my voice was gone, I wanted to go home and die. There were only two of us working the shop that day. My task; a flatbed truck is coming TODAY to load up JS's transporter to take it from Seattle to Colorado. You need to find someone who has a ramp that we can use to get it onto the flatbed.

I drove around looking. I made calls. I sat in the office at a local farm implement company for ages while the manager ignored me, then found out their ramp was way too steep and short. Finally, I spotted a double concrete ramp that looked like it would work. I went to the manager's office with a picture of the transporter, and BEGGED for him to let me use it for a few minutes. He could have said "NO, GO AWAY!", but he was amused by the request, and said "OK, just this once."

I went back to the shop, and we rushed the transporter down there, in a cloud of smoke, just in time to meet the flatbed driver, who I had called with directions. It took a few strategically placed blocks of wood to get it over the hump, but it was loaded. We grabbed a few brooms and gave the ramp the first cleaning it had been given in years, as a thank you.

If you have google earth and you look around Fiorano and the factory in Maranello you can see the F1 transporters.

I have been in Fiorano last September, no trucks but some black hidden prototypes!
