Hi all the Ferrarichat.com members. I'm new on this forum and I like all Ferrari models. I'm a ferrari enthusiast although actually I haven't any car (LOL). Because I like so much Ferrari cars, I have made one Ferrarri Tribute video as a present for the members of Ferrarichat.com and I hope you like it. Tell me your opinions, please. Here is the link to the download: http://rapidshare.de/files/25323498/FERRARI_TRIBUTE.wmv.html I know that the download is big but I think that it worths the while. Thank You very much. AXEL.
I couldn't fully enjoy your very nicely shot video - because the music overpowered and dominated throughout. Was this about the band - or was this about Ferrari? Maybe I'm weird but, after having my Ferrari for close to two years, I have yet to fire up the stereo. Why would I? I have an Italian opera just inches behind my head. Fade your intro music out after 15 or 20 seconds. Everything else was tops Cheers, Hank
I appreciate the effort. But here are a couple video editing tips: 1. When you're doing titles, either overlay them on the video, or do a white-on-black scheme. The default is ugly. 2. In almost every case, you don't want to have the same clip run for more than a few seconds. Try doing faster cuts. 3. That music really was terrible. Good effort!
Great! Thanx! Sound of the ferrari's is enough for me as well but liked the aggresive music somewhat.
Thank you all for your replies. This is the first video montage I have made. I have to say that the music I choosed for the video was too heavy but I thought that it's a cool song to make it more "agressive". I could have choosen the Warner Bros. cartoons music for the video but I think that a rock song is more apropiated (LOL). In the other hand I know that the volume of the music is very loud and sometimes the cars can't be heard, but finally I decided to keep the volume at this level. However, I think that I will make more Ferrari video montages in the future. That's all. Bye. AXEL.
With all due respect, I don't believe the superfast cut is the hot ticket. Maybe it's because I'm older. 48. But I think the MTV style is awful and just a passing style. I think in a few years you will find it gone. With something as beautiful as Ferrari's I want to saver and study the image. Just IMO. I guess it's the difference between doing shots or drinking a fine wine . I'm not saying it should be made up of long boring sections either, but the content dictates the length.--Bob
I think it is a style question. I'm a younger Ferrari fan and I want to emphatize the agressive character of this cars. For sure Ferraris are beautiful but don't forget that they are supercars (racing cars that you can drive every day in your city) and Ferrari philosophy has ever been that to bring the customers out all the racing technology from competitions like the Formula 1 championship. In sum, I think that it's a question of age. I'm young and I like the style that I have impressed to this Ferrari video compilation. AXEL
I'm not a big fan of people using others copyrighted material and doing just whatever they want with it. Did you shoot any of those video clips? Did you get permission from any of the copyright holders to butcher their videos? As a photographer I take this stuff serious. Shoot your own video and edit your own stuff, then post it and see what we think.
Dear TexasMike, I'm only a Ferrari fan that like all Ferrari related videos. Most of the material I used on this video has NO COPYRIGHT because are amateur videos and you can download it from the network easily. Moreover, I'm not the only person that make video compilations based on a specific car model. You can find hundreds of forums from other people that like other cars and make the same as me. I consider that I don't harm anyone doing this videos. I don't want to get in problems with anyone. I'm only a Ferrari fan that like all the cars from this manufacturer. Is that a crime? With people like you, this forum loses prestige more and more. Forget me and get in your own bussiness. AXEL
Yes, it is against the law to edit and repost copyrighted material. It's called copyright infringement. Amateur or not, all videos and photos are automatically owned and copyrighted by the person shooting the video or the photos. Who are you to say that this site looses prestige with people like me. You are just a newbie. You don't know jack about this site.
You are only a s**t of photographer that don't deserve to own a Ferrari (if the car in your avatar is yours) that want to f**ck everyone because you are frustrated as a photographer. Who are you, a policeman? Are you a judge? I won't spend my time with an ass**le like you that dedicates his time to pursuit fans that thier only crime is to make video compilations because they like cars from a manufacturer. Don't F**CK ME if you don't want to get in problems and go to shoot some photos of your ass. AXEL
I'm not threatening anyone, I only want that you leave this thread alone because it's my thread and I have created it. If you don't like my video, simply leave the thread and don't try to provoke me. AXEL
I'm not a fan of the music, personally. You should allow the exhaust notes to dominate, not the techno (or whatever this music is). Other than that, it's just a standard clip compilation. Not a bad start, but as mentioned earlier you should try shooting your own video to develop a personal style
To be honest, you were the one who started swearing at him. He just said: "Yes, it is against the law to edit and repost copyrighted material. It's called copyright infringement. Amateur or not, all videos and photos are automatically owned and copyrighted by the person shooting the video or the photos. Who are you to say that this site looses prestige with people like me. You are just a newbie. You don't know jack about this site." And you replied with... "You are only a s**t of photographer that don't deserve to own a Ferrari (if the car in your avatar is yours) that want to f**ck everyone because you are frustrated as a photographer. AXEL" He was just making a valid point. He is a photographer and therefore concerned for others in this community. If I took any of those photos/videos, I'd ask you to please remove them from the video, and I'm sure some of the other photographers would feel the same way. I'd recommend finding the videographers who took all of the videos that you used and asking them if it would be alright if you used their videos. Either that, or I'd recommend removing this video. I belong to another forum which is dedicated to virtually modifying cars in Photoshop. There is a rule on there that if you created a part of a car (sideskirt, vent, etc), it's now your property and if someone else steals it, they can be banned for it. It's not the same here, but I would recommend you observe copyright laws. Thanks!
I see that anyone on this forum has understood the intention of my video. Ok, I will explain it more slow: 1.) All the material I have used for this video compilation has been downloaded from the net. I'm sure that more than one FerrariChat.com member has seen it. If the person who shot one of this videos wanted to hold his video copyright, uploading it to the Internet it's not the better way to do it. All the people who have a computer with Internet access can watch it. 2.) It seems that all the people here is blind with the copyright of the material. I don't want to steal any copyright from anyone, I have no intention to robe the work of anyone and I don't want to get some material from anyone to use it in a video with my name or everything else. All the material I used for this compilation has been downloaded from the net. 3.) I'm only a Ferrari fan who spent his free time to do a Ferrari video compilation for all the Ferrari fans. It is as simple as this. The only goal of this video compilation is to glorify the wonderful Ferrari cars. Anyone don't understand this part? Although I have spent my free time and effort to do this video the people on this forum is treating me as a criminal. And some of this people expresses their opinions without any consideration or education to me. If I continue receiving this kind of attack to my person, I will leave this forum and put my video in another forum where the people is more racional and comprehensive than here. The image of Ferrari owners that I had has been seriously damaged by their own speech. The fact of having a Ferrari car in your garage don't has to be a reason to make your personality more impertinent and arrogant. A Ferrari fan that has done a video compilation and now is dissapointed by the people. AXEL
I would stop talking now before you get in any deeper than you already are. And TexasMike is an amazing Photographer
