Can any of you help with proper valuation of my '89 Mondial T Cab for insurance purposes. At the moment, it is severely undervalued and I need to present evidence to my insurance company of current values so that they can properly update the value. What sources can I use i.e. Ferrari Market Letter? etc.
    Thanks for your help.

The best thing to do is to have an independent appraiser appraise it for you, if you think it is truly grossly undervalued by your insurance company.

You'll get a written valuation for your specific car.

Or, you could go for an agreed value or stated value with the insurance co. if they offer these.

Have you shown the insurer what you paid for the car?

P.S. I see you're in the car business, so you probably already that!

Issue 158 of the Cavallino magazine shows the range in sales of 1989-1993 T-cab Mondials as $40-70k. Every two years, when my insurance man comes out to see if our Fcar still is with us and looks the same, I show him the most recent market listing in Cavallino for an agree-to stated value.
