....and also for the Maserati A6GCS Pininfarina #2056. Within its resto in the mid-90s they put the radiator grille upside down!!!!! Can t understand why MP does not change this on his now €4.0m-car....
That's what is missing on the front. I like that sharp horizontal crease across the nose and how flat it is below. Changes the whole character of the nose. Great pic there Tom! CH

Here is a picture of 4675 I've taken Via Musso in Maranello 22 August 2011 certainly just before complete restauration. What about registration "CO 46367" since I though the genuine registrations of 4675 were "Roma 634374", "CN 110711" and "MI 901733" ? Fred. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Italian plate Como "CO 46367" dates from March 1955 (issue date) and has ZERO to do with this 250 GTO #4675 GT. Here are the real Italian registrations of 4675 GT: Roma 634374 was issued June 21, 1963. CN 110711 was issued April 9, 1964. MI 901733 was issued April 21, 1964. BS 157747 was issued January 30, 1965. IM 51307 was issued February 25, 1966. Marcel Massini

Class winner TdF May I seriously ask why the same owner was able to bring home a class win / recognition again this year, as he did with his "unlikely to be correctly restored SWB Lusso" last year? This TdF is a great car, no question. But for what ever reasons it was in the wrong category?! This is a pure racecar, given its history. Why place it in "Gentlemen's class" instead of "Racing class"? I had the understanding that one criteria for its class-win was the famous racing history. You notice something? Compete against no-racing history cars and bring the price home because of the racing pedigree??? Was this done by mistake or purpose to allow better chances? Given the fact that the "Racing class" was very, very strong and even the GTO drove home unrecognized? To me this does not make sense - as the Best of Show 450S did not make sense in comparison to the V4 16 cylinder Maser. It just did not make any sense. Remarkably some decisions at VdE did not make sense this year. But who understands everything? Probably I don't.
I don't know how Villa d'Este judges cars, but the nose on that GTO would make it hard for it to win over more original cars.
