Well when we lived in Co. Rabbits ate wires to the prior MB fog lights and rabbits again struck the ignition wires on my wife's car. MB said some of their wires attracted rodents as the green movement helped implement pectin as a wire insulator.

Does hitting a deer in my 328 count? If so, yes, about $12k worth of "animal damage" a few years back.

Had some rats move into my 328 a year ago but saw signs of them and set traps all around the car which caught all of them. I keep traps set around the garage now as a precaution. Lucky to get them before any damage was done. I removed all the trim around the spare and cleaned out where they had started a nest. If they had started chewing the wires behind the dash it would have been a disaster!

They got into the car through the battery opening. I have since bought a new cover for the battery.

I also met a deer once. I'd happily trade my deer for anyone's squirrel.

My deer didn't even have the courtesy to die. Just slid up the windshield and over the back of the car, then ran off into the night.

    Yours?

Right front headlight, over the hood, a little dance on the leading edge of the roof and then over the driver side mirror. Venison.

Call me if you want to form a vigilante posse. I'll bring my Suburban this time.
