    Hey all.

Just signed up today and I have a post but please forgive me if I don't stick to any type of required format.

I've had this watch for a number of years now received from one of my mum's friends. It's missing half of the strap.

Does anyone know where I could get a replacement or have any more information on the watch please?

    Thanks all.

Thanks very much for the reply.

Yeah I thought it was unlikely but everything's worth a shot right?

I'll have a look at what you recommended.

    Thanks again and take care

    Nice watch!

It can use any sort of standard strap so you should be able to get something that looks nice.

If you are looking for a specific strap, such as an exact replacement of the half you still have, it will be tougher. Ferrari has sold a lot of “fashion” watches each of which has specific parts. The parts are not sold separately.

If you measure (in mm) the gap between the two “lugs” you can even shop online for straps with the correct width.

I think you will need to modify a strap to accommodate the extra nub at 12 and 6. If you are willing to do so, a silicone or leather strap will be the easiest.

    No worries Brian.

Really appreciate the advice. I'll try find an alternative somewhere, I'd definitely like to get it on my wrist!

    Take care

Because of the unusual configuration of how the strap attaches to the watch, it may be best to search for a strap on eBay...using the name "Ferrari Watch." Do you know who actually made the watch? If it is still being made and sold, they manufacturer should have them. Also check Ferrari on-line boutiques. And what is the lug width? Looks to be 22mm. If you decide to modify an off brand strap, you'll need that info. You should also change both halves of the strap, as well as the spring bars that fit in the lugs and that the strap is attached to.

If you cannot find a donor watch to steal a strap from, an alternative would be to file that center lug off on both sides and polish (or brush) the case where you removed it so that it looks like there never was one. That would allow you to use just about any (properly sized - width) strap you can find.
