I have a set of Speedline Modulars for my 550 that requires 60mm center caps (2-3/8"). The original Ferrari center caps are too small. Do you know where I can get the proper center caps to make it work? Thanks for any suggestions.
Factory Speedline modulars (aka Barchetta wheels) take the same caps as stock. You may have Speedline America (SAC) wheels, which require an adaptor ring to use the factory cap. That's what I have on my SACs. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Exactly what I was looking for. Where do I get one of these adaptor rings? The factory center cap is 55mm and the Speedline wheel cap diameter is 60mm.
They don't give the exact specs, but maybe something like this would work: Evasive Motorsports | PH: 626.336.3400 Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm PST: Volk Racing Center Cap Ring for TE37SL - 2.5mm / 3.0mm O-Ring
Thanks... I emailed them to see. I wonder where your adaptors came from? Odd that I am unable to find the source.
I contacted Speedline and they don't make the adaptor rings. Ferrari never made a 60mm center cap. Any one have any ideas on where I can get adaptor rings?
You might try contacting Champion Motorsports - I think they absorbed Speedline America. They have these center caps listed, maybe a Ferrari Logo could be adapted to them? Champion Motorsport - Replacement Center Cap (Set of 4)
We may be chasing a wild goose with the Speedline America/Champion wheels thing. I just measured my SAC centers and they're 70mm, not 60.
I called Champion Motorsports. They only have the ones for Porsches which are 70mm caps. They inherited the Speedlines wheels and don't have any more center caps for the old modular wheels. Time to get some blank ones and put a prancing horse on it...
I still have no luck getting anything to fit my Speedline modular wheels. I ordered some speedline 60mm but that's actually to snug. I think it is a 58mm. Any ideas?
I was the last owner/distrubutor for the SAC Ferrari wheel business. This was during the transition to Champion Motorsports. I received all of their Ferrari parts and pieces. I will look to see if I have any adaptor rings. Champion did not want any of the Ferrari stuff so they found a business minded Ferrari enthusiast (me) to take over that part of the business until the stock ran out.
The opening is actually around 58mm... I brought a bunch of 60mm caps an they didn't fit. Too tight...
There is an online machine shop called eMachineshop that will make anything that you can design in their free CAD software (which is dead easy to use). I use them to make prototype parts for our MSW sideline business, and so does my partner, Dave. If you can design the cap you want, they'll make it for you, and while they're not cheap for small runs, at least you'll know what you're getting, instead of buying caps of unknown size and hoping they'll fit.
I looked in my old boxes. I only have the complete center caps, no more spacers. After I sold the last of the wheels, I put everything all together and this is all I have.
