I suspect I might be the only one posting for this particular subject! We were out at a friend's house tonight on the outskirts of Calgary, when a female moose and her yearling twins wandered by... even at one year old, these things are HUGE!! Tall enough that the 308 is lower than their belly height. Lol! I thought I was the only one. Last Thursday I came around the corner and there standing on the double yellow line was a moose I tried to get a pic but by the time I got to my phone it ambled off into the woods. A couple of summers ago I was coming home from a friends at about 10:00 p.m. I'm driving my s2000 with the top down I come around the corner and at the end of a straightaway I see a police car on the side of the road with lights flashing. I slowed down and soon enough I came upon a mama moose that had just delivered a calf as I could see it trying to take its first step in the middle of the road. I stop and the mama looks right at me now I'm in my car with the top down no protection and as soon as I let off on the clutch and the car barely started to move the moose would come toward me. I put the car in reverse and just waited it out after a couple of minutes both mama and baby went off into the woods.
Wow, we had about 6 deers on our driveway just yesterday in South Calgary, always looking for something to munch on.
Great Pics! It's just amazing how big and agile they are. Glad they didn't decide to investigate the F car up close.

Hi Joe I am one town over from you I live in Winhall. I'm betting that yours is the blue 365 that I see around here occasionally, beautiful car! I came across the moose giving birth on the road that connects the Stratton mountain access road to the town of Stratton I was roughly about 3 miles from the sunbowl. I wasn't aware the N.E. 1000 was running through southern Vt this year. The Markowski's from r.p.m. are hosting a drive this Sat. that is headed to Peru.
Bullwinkle Hills? City of Commoose? San Dimoose? I saw lots of deer in when I resided in Los Feliz and Hollywood Hills, but not in Beverly Hills, ((though I didn't reside @ Sunset) - though there was a fake albino one at Sly's) - but deer are neither caribou nor moose.
