FWIW, I caught a program on the national geographic channel last night that highlighted super factories around the world. Well this episode spotlighted the Ferrari factory on the building of a 599. It was absolutely incredible. I was truely blown away with how each engine is casted first then built, thus each engine is unique. Also how the engine is put together by one person in one day. Incredible. Though I was taken back by how the cars are painted by computers, figured that they would want to have a human touch on that as well.

It was a re-run and has been available on you tube for some time. Definitely worth watching for anyone who hasn't seen it.

There's one for Ferrari in History Channel: Ultimate Factories but there is one for Lamborghini as well with almost the same thing (factory tour and building cars) but the show is from Discovery Channel: Rides. Just in case you're interested. You can Google it: "Discovery HD - Rides - Lamborghini Factory" I know this is Ferrari forum but anything Italian for me is something worth watching. ENJOY
