Last Friday our company hosted an Art Show, inviting the Art Department to exhibit their personal work. Needless to say, I was there.!!

The responce i received was overwhelming. The pieces that Thor (JavelinArt) and i have been working on created quite a stir. Several people around here have seen and/or know about my realist watercolours (one of those was there too, as well as a reduced computer-print of the 250GTO interior) so these were quite a departure from what they expected.
They were the talk of the show! Those that were off on Friday, have been coming up to my desk to see if i have any photos, so they can see what the fuss is about... :)

This was the first time i had them all displayed at once (running out of wall space at home :) ) and i must admit i was quite pleased with the result, myself.

thought you'd all like to see...

    Thanks Thor!!!

Do you have that black and white steering wheel painting/inking in a bigger size to post here? I'd love to see it. Your work is insane...as watercolors are very very challenging.

    Hey, Cool!

I can run Giclee prints of any of Grant's paintings if anyone is interested, including the Black & White 250 GTO cockpit, if he can get me some very hi-res photos. Should we work on that?

Grant, we need to get your P4 framed so it matches the rest. I'll see what I can come up with. It looks much better in the steel frame - I finally got mine framed for the art show I did Saturday. Our pieces were a big hit! Most people were stunned... They weren't expecting such innovative stuff at such a small event. Grin! The only down side was guys asking me if we did Pickup trucks.

Thanks for the reply... "insane" eh? kinda like the sound of that... :)

The original GTO Interior was rather large.. 40" wide! Kind of gave it a "Pop Art" quality, since, at that size, it was larger than life. It was sold to a fellow-FChatter a few months ago...
The 250 California on my site is done the same size, ink on foam core.

Here is a larger shot of the GTO Interior...

    Congratulations, on the show Grant.
Wonderful work, as usual. You can employ such a wide variety of mediums and effects.
Keep us posted on future shows!!

Thank you Frank... the show was fun, as was the wonderful feedback.
Shows and galleries are things that i am putting ALOT more energy into, a one-man show of my F-car (and other marques) work would be a dream... and with some contacts i have made here at home recently... a dream that may come true.

    my fingers are crossed...
