I put a thread in other off topic, but a lot of you folks don't wander in there. However, I think I'm ok posting this in Ferrari Discussion. Here's the original thread.

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=110135

Two years ago we put together a poster of FerrariChat.com members' cars. I took on the project to raise money for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). We had some success, but this year I dedided to aim a little higher.

We're going to produce a 2006 poster, all proceeds going to the Alzheimer's Association (Delaware Valley Chapter) to continue research into Alzheimer's Disease.

This time, participation in the poster will cost $25.00. that will get your car on the poster, and a poster shipped to you, along with a 2004 poster (until they run out). There will be approximately 50 picture spots available on the poster. If you decide to add your picture, please make your payment then send your high res jpeg (max 10MB) image to [email protected]. I'll take it from there.

$12.50 will get you a poster, but no picture on it.

I've put all these choices on fchatstuff.com to make payment by paypal or credit card easy for everyone.

    Here's that link.

    Participate with picture http://www.fchatstuff.com/servlet/Detail?no=44

    Buy the poster alone http://www.fchatstuff.com/servlet/Detail?no=45

ALL PROCEEDS (less any credit card or paypal fees) will goto Alzheimer's. I will not take any production costs out of the proceeds, so all the money goes where it can be used best.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION. HERE ARE A COUPLE OF IMAGES. LAST YEAR'S POSTER, AND THIS YEAR'S SO FAR.

I'm definitely in on this one... I just need to get permission from Lucas to use one of the photos he snapped of my car.

    Now we're getting somewhere!!!

C'mon guys it's a holiday. Get out there and take a picture of your car, pop the $25 and send me the picture. It's for a great cause, and you get a poster, too!!!

Hey, and don't forget, the $25 is TAX DEDUCTABLE (Less, of course, the retail value of the poster.:D)

Here's your semi-daily update on what it looks like.

And I figure the poster is worth at least $40, so I owe the IRS $15?

Progress is slow, but steady. I have about 25 spots left on the poster.

DON'T GET LEFT BEHIND ON THIS.

And, remember, it's all for a good cause.

    Here's the latest version...

Also, this year I've decided to print 150 posters total. That'll mean 50 for the participants, and 100 more to offer to Fchatters. That's it, no more, no less.

That will make this a "LIMITED EDITION POSTER." Each will be numbered and signed by Enzo himself. (Ok, that's a lie.)

    Thanks again for everyone's participation.

    Dave,

The fchatstuff page has a different lower price than what you originally stated. Did the price get reduced?

[edit] Never mind - didn't include shipping.

    Dave,

What is the minimum resolution that will generate a good picture?

if you send me a large (8x10 inch or larger) image, I only need about 100 DPI.

If you send me a small image (4x5) then I'd need 250 DPI.

Send me the image, whatever you have, I can check and proof it to make sure it will be ok. But if you've made a 4x5 print of it yourself and it looks good, it will look good on the poster.

I want to see Sparky's beautiful P51 in there.

There were two flying around here in formation on Tuesday, Sparky. Was one of those yours?

There were two T-34's in formation as well.

I dont think so Greg. My son always calls me before he launches. Where they close enough to see what paint schemes were on them. Red nose, blue nose, od. Sparknot has a huge jelly bean over the fuselage star...sorta hard to miss.

Art. Times Square or the beauty shot. THe tree pic, which I love, doesn't appear to be the most flattering from a color/exposure basis.

If you want, send me all three. I'll proof them and let you kow which loks best. I do have a nice spot for the T.S. picture.

    Dave,

The 1st TS picture was originally done on film so that is no prob. The second one (rear view - somewhere in Manhattan) and the beauty shot were digital and not done by me so I'll have to get clearance on them (will take a couple of days).

    How do I make payment?

    Regards,

    Art S.
