Actually, pretty much all of the tech section 'Stammtisch' regulars, many posting here, are the finest people one can meet as a group on FChat. While most of my current FChat tech heroes are here, I'll also throw in two of many that are not here anymore that some may remember - Philip Airey (P-6 cams and dry sump installations) and my early role model Ric Rainbolt (everything). thanks everyone rt finishing my latest evil creation, individual exhaust port adapter for an LM-1 wideband Air/Fuel meter made from common household tools to computer tune Webers by each cylinder... .
Thanks Steve (91TR), If anyone benefits from my almost insane idea of restoring a 308 then great! I get lots of help here on the 308 from others (including yourself) and now Im learning a great deal about the BB from the other BB owners here as well as the techs that get to service them. F-chat has made ferrrari ownership a much nicer expereince. The first thing I do when I have a question is post it here and I always get an answer so thank you everyone. P.
Holy crap, we forgot Mike Charness! Sorry Mike! See, this list-making thing is too hard. There are just way too many people on this forum that kick butt. Birdman
I'm envious of his knowledge, history and experience with the marque... Best, Rob btw, I agree with everyone posted, this community is awesome and I'm thankfull to see the sharing of info... I remember the "dark ages" pre-internet when people hoarded repair and maintenance info... dark days they were.
91TR, Fatbillybob, Henkie (for the wheel spacer testing), Ernie, JVBJR (oops, strike that one). Thanks for all the info. BT
All those who have helped me, you know who you are so forgive me if I leave you out... I would like to thank in particular: Rifledriver, Ernie, Miltonian, tbakowsky, ferrarifixer, Ferrari-uk-tech, and of course all my 348 buddies (too many to mention!).
There are many great chatters including: Brian Crall, Malcom West (have met this expert), Steve 91TR, Carl Rose (for expert medical advice too , AEHaas (professor of Synth Oil +++), Verell, and I always read Mark Eberhardt's posts too. Dave Handa always has some sage advice. I like them all it is hard to pick. Mark
Vern Cornell- I have talked to him on a few occasions re: 355's. He is very knowledgable and seems to go out of his way to help. TBakowsky has also been a life saver. It takes a certain type of person to be able to talk shop with a lay person- I think this is true in other fields as well...
