    How do you see WHO has payed????
    There was no remarks/regardings or something to mention?

    FerrariChat.com and Paypal are communicating with each other systematically. When you submit your subscription from here it opens up to your Paypal account and already knows it's paying Curvacom LLC. Once you pay I get notice and once I accept the payment it systematically tells FerrariChat.com you have paid and promotes your account.

    Only thing manual at this point for me is accepting your payment in Paypal and I'm trying to figure out how to automate that too.

    Is it 50 dollars for five years or 50 dollars per year for 5 years? If its only 50 dollars for five years thats dang cheap. Charge 50 dollars per year for 5 years and you will earn a lot more for the site, that still comes out pretty cheap on a yearly basis.

    The Silver group is actually only $50 for 7 years until May 1st, then 5 years after that. What's that, $7 a year I think.

    The yearly rate is $15.

    Rob, if you become a Rossa user, you should give them some webspace so they can make their own mini-my car page like car-domains but only for rossa users. that can be linked on the top of the site. That would be cool.

    yea yea, heard it all before. Almost merits urban legend status. I've had over 300 transactions with Pay Pal without a single problem, except their high fees to receive money (although CC's aren't much better).

    I'm still going to have a CC interface though as I know it's wanted. Just like the people that won't buy over the internet or a secure connection, but give their credit card to a waiter to go in the back and run it.

    Some battles aren't worth fighting and I'm not going to fight the Pay Pal or online CC card one with everyone. That's why we already have the mail in option and will have the CC interface soon. Everyone will be happy. :)

    Does FerrariChat have a mobile version of the site?
    I frequent treocentral and they automatically create a fork in the code that presents a simplified UI, fewer graphics, etc.
    It would be great for boring technical meetings and would be agreat incentive to subscribe to the site.

    That's a great idea, I'll add it to the wish list. I've seen others browse FC on a PDA and it was OK, but could look much better.

    Aurorarapter's idea of a special little webspace to show off your car if you're a Rossa member is really good. I second the idea. That area should only be visible to other members (of any subscription level, just people who paid to sign up) so that Joe Blow can't just come in and go surfing for cars to steal.

    I totally agree with the idea of a paid site. I personally would like to see less trolling. I think this will help weed out the people that are serious about being here and contributing, versus people who are just here to annoy everyone else.

    The general boards here are very US biased and the 'offers' you have suggested also appear to be US in nature.

    Basically right now...

    - More Private Message space.
    - Title under post rank. Yippe Dippy Doo ;).
    - Private Forum access.
    - Rossa Subscribers are allowed a signature in their posts.

    Like I said, no reason yet to subscribe unless you want the additional features or just want to support the site. The Non Subscribed usergroup has had no permissions removed. Although this will be reconsidered post June 1st based on how everything goes.

    Additional features will be added to the subscribed group as it goes.

    It comes down to we're not scaring anyone away, but giving those that choose, some extras.

    If you mean based on membership, I agree, most of our users are US based.

    However, we've had a huge increase in UK and other European traffic the past 2-3 months mostly based on word of mouth and our European sponsors (I think 4-5 right now).

    The international areas have their own forums, so I don't think there are many from the US in there.

    You can pay for the subscriptions in dollars, pounds, or euros.

    robinh, please explain more what you mean. Thanks.

    FULLY agree. i remember about 9 years ago when newsgroups were a great place to meet people and discuss things. Heck, i remember helping to FORM new newsgroups! Today many of them are filled with spammers and trollers :( Not what i envisions when first asking for new newsgroups to be formed.

    I could set that up in about 10 seconds, but don't know how it would look, maybe tomorrow I can play around with that. Not sure how well silver would show up. I put the text in my post #1 for Silver in grey. Hard to see.
