Do you think this is a good idea

  1. Yes, I like the age range designation included in posts

  2. I would like actual age shown - not a range

  3. No, I don't think it's a good idea

This idea is absurd. I guarantee there is a 14 or 15 year old that know a crap load more about my 360 than me. Age does not always bring knowledge, and there are enough exceptions to this rule that negating an age group or singling them out does an injustice.

    Alex,

Thanks for your response. I understand that with your past South African experience, you might be sensitive to the issue. Allow me to explain a subtle difference. I am suggesting this as an option - not something that is mandatory. I personally would like to be able to have in my post listing "Classic" or whatever designation is finally agreed upon. The poll is showing others would like designations as well. The people that don't agree or don't want to add this feature don't have to. The advantage to an age designation, instead of an actual year of birth, is privacy. It would be just that much more difficult for someone intending harm to gain useful information. That is the beauty of a democracy and the advantage of the Internet. So really I'm asking for the freedom to express this info not the other way around. Even the members that don't want to "be labeled" should agree with this. No?

I look forward to seeing you around the board.....

BTW- Anyone in Texas (close to Rob) take Rob's temp? I won't tell......................
