What do you mean? All your texts after the images are displayed as fake links. The preceding text (before image) is ok.

I think the two-step verification is not working. I had logged out of Chrome on a computer which wiped cookies, cache, passwords, etc. When I logged back into Chrome, I had to sign in to fchat again, but it logged me back in with just my password. Not the end of the world, only fyi.

 

Thousand pardons,but did mike Tucson’s question about avatars become addressed?
And although I can insert more than one image in a post,doing so in my last effort caused a gawdawful conflagration for which I hereby now and forever more do resolutely apologize with much scraping and panty straightening. So help a cousin out,with an overwhelmed and outdated series one iPad how do I avoid making that mess again( it was in that 5hread I stated about judges/overrule legislators..I don’t want to look at that hot mess again)
I usually write first,then click upload..is that backward?

Regarding attached photos: Sometimes I turn the camera to take a photo in vertical (portrait) format; when I upload the images to my hard drive, I have to rotate the photo 90 degrees to get it to appear correctly.

However, when I attach the same images to FChat, it rotates them back to horizontal, and there seems to be no way to get them to appear on the forum in the correct, vertical format. Does anyone know of a fix?

 

I don't know what you mean by a "native file". I should point out that these photos are all taken with a regular camera, not a phone.

This problem did not exist in the "old" FChat. If the image was vertical on my hard drive, it would be vertical in an FChat post, no modification required.

 

Do you save and/or export the file after you rotate it?

 

I upload the jpg's to my hard drive, rotate the ones that need it, and then re-save them.

 

the member "spaceship" just now is looking for a TR 91 owner in hongkong.

to the mods: would it be possible to upgrade the members search function not only searching for names, also searching for where one live? would be a great help.
but this of course only for those members, who filled out their profile with the country and city name or zip code. if someone not filled out then no search function to find him because of his privacy

I would love to see, that you increase the time span for editing a post.
Other said it too; these 10minutes are much too short for thoroughly editing a technical post. And posting a second message only for additions or corrections is simply annoying.
Please go back to the former 60 minutes.

Not sure if this is the right place/thread, but…

I like using the menu link at the top for <Forum><New Posts>, but that doesn’t seem to work on my iPad…

Why is that?

Thanks, I don’t have phone on my iPad so I guess that feature is hidden.

 

Here’s what I see. I'm asking out of curiosity more than anything else. I’m sure there are many features that I don’t use. …even after 20 years.

So.. in the browser on my iPad, it works from the burger menu, but not from the menu along the top…

Weird, but I’ll stick to the working burger as I hadn’t looked/tried that one.
