    I went to the site........

Are they manufacturers or reps? Not a lot of info on pricing or specs.

Welcome to the site though. Is this an Fchaters business?

No, he was asking someone who bought a lift where they heard about them and customer replied "FerrariChat.com". So there must have been a thread somewhere. That's how they got interested. I don't think he even has a user id yet, but I've recommended he registers.

They do some really high end designs. One of the few or only certified to build underground storage lifts.

    Hello YellowMurci!

Thanks for Your inquiry. All of our two post lifts with a 9,000 lb. lifting capacity are currently on sale for $2,485 delivered to your home or place of business. You'll also receive the necessary anchor bolts and a free set of truck adapters. And, because you're a member of FerrariChat, you'll also receive an additional $50 discount. Your total cost would be $2,435. You won't find a lower price for an American made lift. If you do, we'll beat it!

Power source is single phase 230v. We recommend a 30 amp breaker, but you can get by with less. We also recommend a minimum of 4" reinforced concrete, 3,000 psi. Available lift colors are black, blue and red.

Please note that all of our lifts are powder-coated and American made. If you'd like to send me an email to [email protected], I'd be happy to email you specifications.

If I or anyone else in our office can be of any additional service to you, please don't hesitate to call using our toll free number 888-711-5438.

    Again, thanks for your interest.

    Brad Davies

    Hello LetsJet!

Accept my apology, but I'm not sure what a FChaters Business is. But to answer your other questions, we are not a manufacturer. We design many of our own products in-house here in San Diego, wihch are exclusively our lines. We work with five different manufacturers who build lifts for us, all in which meet or exceed ANSI standards. We also offer the only American made subterranean parking lift that is now code compliant in every city.

Soon we'll be providing a lot more details and specifications of our products. So please visit our website periodically.

I do have a question for you and all FerrariChat members: Would you prefer to see prices of all our products posted on our website? At one time we had all our prices posted for everyone to see, including our competition. but then later we felt that because of having our prices posted, there was that possibility that some folks weren't calling in because all the information they needed was found on our website. Therefore we were missing the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting folks, which is what I really enjoy about this business. Not to mention the possible opportunity of closing the deal. I felt that by not having our prices noted, we would receive more inquires because of folks like yourself would have to call us in order to get a price.

It does seem that since we removed our prices, our phones ring more often. And I can say that I have become friends with many of my customers, whom I talk to now on a regular basis. I may not have met these nice folks if it hadn't been for not having our prices on our website.

But I may be all wrong about this. Your feedback would be helpful and appreciated. Maybe if I had prices on our website, folks would call just as often. I really don't know the answer. But one idea I was considering of having is a special login in on our website for all Ferrari members and other car clubs as well that would provide a link to a special price page for car members only. All members of FerrariChat, FFCobra, Porsche, Corvette, etc., would all receive additional discounts on lifts. We're also a member of ffcobra.com. We sell many lifts through this chatroom because we offer them an additional discount and because of referrals from other members. And I have met so many nice folks from this site, and I'm sure I will meet just as many if not more from the Ferrari site.

I will promise all of you, we will give you the best of customer service, better than you'll find anywhere else. Customer service is truly our priority, and we make sure that every single customer of ours is happy that they did business with us. I literally have hundreds of reference letters that I have not posted on our website. But this is something we'll soon do. We also have customers near you. So if you need a reference, we can provide it. We also offer service and installation in every major city and rural area. Not many companies can say that. Even more important, our installers will take possession of your lift(s), thus saving you the cost of having to rent a forklift once your lift arrives. Most of the lift companies ship directly to your business, some won't even deliver to your home, and it is YOUR responsibility to unload your lift once it arrives.

I appreciate the time you've all taken to read my email. Your feedback is very important to us. It helps us become a better company.

Please feel free to call our office any time using our toll free number at 888-711-5438.

    Thanks again.

    Brad Davies

Brad, Does your company give detailed instructions for DIY'ers? How do I know if my garage floor is reinforced? What if it isn't or I don't know? Can you put steel plates under posts to distribute the weight? How big a plate is nec if I have 4" non-reinforced cement floor? Jim

    Hello Jim,

Most home garage foundations are fine. Our minimum requirements are 3,000 psi, 4" concrete slab. This is pretty much a minimum standard in most homes. Your slab is probably even thicker and stronger.

If you'd like to contact me at my office or send me an email to [email protected], I'd be happy to email you a cad drawing of the baseplate.

All FerarriChat members can purchase an American made two post lift with a 9k lifting capacity from us for $2,435 delivered to your home or place of business.

If you have any additional questions, please contact me any time using our toll free number 888-711-5438. We're here to help!

    Brad

American Custom Lifts is now offering an imported four post parking/service lift that is almost identical to our ACS7 Econsotack model. We have always sold only American made lifts in the past until today. But because of the competition including many American lift manufacturers now selling imported lifts for less than $2,100., we've decided to jump on this wagon, unfortunately. But we're doing this for the customers who don't care where their lift is manufactured. You can now buy a 7,000 lb. four post parking/service lift with casters (thus making it portable) and jack tray for $1,895, not including your $50 discount. Freight is $350 delivered to your door or to our installers. We can have your lift installed for $500 in most areas.

A decent lift, but not American made.

$ 500 more for an ANSI quality US made lift vs a Chinese junk ?
I'm sorry , this falls into the no brainer catagory.
What I dont get is; do you need a 2 story garage for one of these to function, or can I cut a hole in the ceiling of my existing garage ?
If this little problem could be solved I'm on board.

I got the two post lift and it's installed. My experience is mixed.

Structural soundness and sturdiness of the lift is good. Very solid.

Working with American Custom lift was very good. Every time commitment was met and communication was prompt. Brad seems like a nice guy.

The installer knew what he was doing and showed up when he said he would. I really think you could install one by yourself in about 5 hours. The key item is a good hammer drill and having the right shims to level it. $400 for him to receive it and install it seems like a fair price.

The bad news is that the lift showed up with a bunch of large scratches on it from shipping. They don't go crated so they get pretty beat up by fork lifts. I guess I could have refused it or the installer could have but then you are back in the waiting cycle and hassles, hassles, hassles. I've got a great garage with nice stuff in it. I don't think spending hours touching up damage should have been part of the deal.

The debate over 2 post vs. 4 post is out there. There are ='s and -'s to each. Having said that, the lifting arms on this one are definately sized for a crown victoria. The are so wide that they will not fit between the wheelbase of my 745 let alone the FCar. To lift either a PCar or a Ferrari you have to remove the lift arm extensions. Then, roll the car and put 2 arms under it and then roll it the other direction to have the other two clear the wheels. I was prepared to have to use 2x10's to raised the car but I am surprised by the wheelbase issue. They flat out are not sized to work with a sports car. It would be easy to do and the lift company that does it will add value.

The net is, based on my experience, I'd ask a lot more questions on the front end around dimensions and shipping methods. I'd find a brand or model that works better with sports cars.
