There are several site value websites out there. Don't know how they get the value, but my registry site is worth anywhere from $600 - $21,000 depending on which website you use, so I wouldn't trust that number very welll...

I've had several inquiries for my domain name, and I reply back and ask 'how much ?' and nobody has replied.

A loooong time ago, I was trying to get my friend Steve Ford to grab WWW.Ford.Com, but he didn't. Had he done so, there is nothing Ford Motor Company could have done to get it.

I assume their value is calculated by how much ads the site could serve... not factoring in that Google runs a business buying/selling ad space in their search results and contextual network.

when my site dashin.org was up it was around $35,000 I think. Not bad for a site named after a chat room, named after the convenience store down the street where I used to buy my twizzlers and 12 packs of coke before sitting on ANSI BBS's for 12 hours a night way back when! heheheh

Last offerer was this former physician who made a great choice to invest in some online businesses that didn't take much time. I thought he was gonna be offering more like what I wanted (mid xxx, xxx), but it ended up being 190,000. I refused of course. Maybe a mistake, but profit is still growing slowwwwwly.
