    I was having a look at the members list, and noticed the massive number of people with little or no posts. That observation inspired me to whip up the following:

    Of the approx. 24,600 members,

    11,200 have posts

    13,400 have no posts (where the hell are all these people?)


    of the 11,200 members with posts,

    2,100 have only 1 post (piss poor effort)

    9,100 have more than 1 post


    Of the 9,100 members with more than 1 post,

    3,900 have between 10 and 1 posts


    That leaves 5,200 members with 10 posts or more

    3,200 of those have between 10 and 100 posts

    2000 have 100 posts or more

    700 have 500 posts or more

    375 have 1000 posts or more

    175 have 2000 posts or more

    125 have 3000 posts or more

    75 have 4000 posts or more

    50 have 5000 posts or more

    25 have 7000 posts or more

    10 have 10,000 posts or more

    No. This has been the subject to numerous debates. I believe they should be but the powers that be think otherwise

    How many of these are people with an extra account or two laying around, or banned users using a new account?

    You know, someone like Gary Green that has had 391 different accounts :)

    Isnt it forbidden to have more than one account?

    I bet if there was a script that could be run that would match usernames to IP's, there would be tons of multiples.

    Well, when you consider that there are more accounts with zero posts than not, it makes sense to get rid of some of them. For example, delete all accounts with zero posts that have been inactive for two years or more. That would get rid of many thousands of dead accounts.

    Perhaps Rob doesn't want to delete them because a higher membership number gives the site more credibility?

    Most of the no-post members are due to the fact you can't see the pictures without an account. Lots of ricer-boards links to fchat, and people there wanting to see the shiny Italian machinery (and bikini thread)
