    Ferrari's what from Dubai...? :D

Although I've never had a Ferrari (or any other car for that matter) converted from one spec to another, it is my understanding that Middle Eastern-spec Ferraris are nearly identical to US-spec Ferraris. The only thing that needs to be added to a Ferrari from, say, Dubai when it arrives in the US is all the tags (VIN tag, GVW tag, stuff like that). Other than that, it is my understanding that they are identical.

Call Dick Merritt, if anyone knows anything about that sort of thing, it's Mr. Merritt.

I have a 1988 Testarossa a (Saudi car) it’s not as easy putting it in a container and shipping it.

Had to put on the ugly side markers also the VIN had to be etched on the windshield door and quarter glass one good thing No Cats!

All took place in 1988 also I imported a 1986 Ducati Montjuich told customs it was for off road use.

I don’t know if that would fly today I have lately imported machinery and found a customs broker was helpful.

Actually, this only applies to cars originally imported by the official Dubai dealer, who for historical reasons, imports primarily US-spec cars (with an "A" in the VIN). Now, I am not sure what sort of procedures are required in the US to register such cars, but from a purely technical perspective, they are identical to any US car imported into the US by FNA.

All other Middle Eastern cars (imported by any other dealer in the region apart from the Dubai dealer) are plain Euro-spec cars (with a "B" in their VIN). And those would have to go through the normal Euro-to-US conversion process if imported into the US.

There is no such thing as a "Middle Eastern" or "Gulf" spec Ferrari.
