Spoken like someone who has never had a McLaren. I've had mine almost 5 years and it has been a bullet proof experience.

To the OP. The FF is a complicated car. It sounds like you live in Canada. Guess what? Wires corrode up there.

As far as these exotic warranties go, I think they are a good way to suck extra money out of customers. That goes for Ferrari, McLaren, etc. They are always trying to get out of covering stuff, after they have charged big money for 'piece of mind'.

One of the problems is most owners today can bearly tell you where the gas goes and rely on the dealer for everything. I have had countless Ferraris and now McLaren. Do my own work, never have problems and if something comes up, I fix it. I doubt the corroded wire cost more than a few hundred in parts.

There is a solution for those of us who drive their cars. It's called PPF. Not only does it eliminate rock chips, bugs come off of this stuff much easier than paint. Get it repainted and PPF the nose... problem solved!

These 2 get driven, tracked, taken on trips, etc, and not a nick Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

well aware of ppf - and some of my other cars have it - altho it is not infallible either - some rocks have still managed to get right through that film.
the 430 started without it, then got a bunch of chips, and then i didnt bother. now i will just not do it since its a waste of effort at this stage.

I like the patina look. The cars that I have had that I don’t treat as precious have been the most fun (and most reliable come to think of it). Unfortunately it’s hard to treat my f-cars like that, they seem so special. A mental and financial hurdle for me to cross one day…

The OP was angry about not having a courtesy car available.

I own a Ferrari Cali30 and I don’t care if my F dealer has a courtesy car or nor available for me. Why?

    * I own a 2nd car (Cadillac SUV), therefore I do not depend on my F as the only car.

    * I can take Uber/Lyft if needed to go pick up my car at the Dealer or come back from the dealer (South Florida)

    * Ferrari dealerships are selling…....Ferraris and high-end automobiles, they do not have Fords, Toyotas, … available for their clients. I understand it and am fine with it. Furthermore, rentals are more difficult to get than in previous years (a lot of cars were sold during Covid)

    * And last but not least, I own a Ferrari, so….. looking at it, listening to it and driving it mean a lot more to me than getting a courtesy car or not.

I “daily drive” my Ferrari about 4 days a week. Modern Ferraris such as Cali/Portofino, FF/Lusso, F12/812, Roma, Purosangue, 458/488/F8 are meant to be driven regularly, times have changed…

    :)

No, a company who historically produced 10,000 cars a year, recently increased to 13,000 isn’t going to loan you a Ferrari.

Personally I think Ferrari dealers can afford to get a few Fiat 500 Abarths and use them for the convenience of their customers
