Also Welcome to BKK There are a few venues for supercars' gathering. Normally, they will be on Sunday morning, such as Ferrari group @ Marketplace, Thonglor (Sukhumvit 55), Porsche group @ CDC, ekamai-ramintra. Moreover, you could also spot some at Paragon shopping mall, supercar parking zone. Have fun on hunting mate! p.s. cool photo album you got.
Thanks mate for the helpful information and clearing my doubts. I am pretty sure it can be used as there are so many supercars in Thailand. But do you guys use the gasahol or you guys go for the unleaded 95 at the stations you mentioned? Cheers! happy motoring
Normally, I fill unleaded 95 on my Stradale. I believe most of Supercars' owners do the same. Btw, I wont mind to use gasohol if going out of town. Unless you gotta park her for a long time (lets say few months), gasohol wont effect any rubber parts in fuel system. Lucky we dont have snow in this region
Thanks a lot for your quick reply, mate! I've been going through the last 20 pages or so, and if pictures are anything to go by, I will definitely come back to KL with a lot of pictures! Now, I'm just really looking forward to finally arriving in Bangkok (never been here before).
Pong, I am thinking of importing my 328 to my home in Phuket from the U.S.. Can you tell me or direct me to to a site on how to import my 328 to my home in Phuket. Thank you, Hawkster
I am sorry I can't exactly pinpoint you to the site.... and if I can, I am sure it will be in Thai... Your best bet would be a custom department and be prepared for redtape, bribe (possibly), and other niggling problems along the way. It seems that we have laws so the official can corrupt easier.... And regarding the gasohol here, newer Ferrari can be filled with E10 no problem. Many places in US and EU also use E10-E15 and we have not heard anything bad from them. The algohol attack rubber parts, so if your Ferrari is old and the rubber parts in fueling system (hoses, o-ring, etc) are old then you might have problem. The fuel filter can get blocked by dirt and grime from the cleaning effect of algohol that clean your gas tank or the rubber parts falling apart. After the filter, I am not sure how many rubber part there are in the rest of the system... However, newer Ferrari should have algohol resistance parts but I just don't know which model. My 575 is 2002 and has no problem using E10. My friend has been using E10 in his 355 with no problem either. But if you plan to park the car for a long time, do not leave too much qty in the tank and water can separate from algohol and that can be a problem. That said, it takes 2-3 months to see significant separation (I heard). Octane booster can damage catalytic converter as some brands still has lead as an ingredient. You should check the label before use... But once in a while is OK. And Ferrari seems to handle 95 octane pretty well without any help from the booster. My old CS didn't have a problem going full blast drinking just 95. My current 575 also has no problem with the 95.... Do not get mix up between E10 95octane gasohol issue and think octane booster will help!!! E10 95 octane will work the same as unlead 95 octane....it might have some differences in extreme condition like high rpm or very very high compression ratio in some engine. But in no way E10 should damage your engine in normal driving condition... so you should not worry too much.. If you really need to fill it with E10 and you are concern...just do not floor the gas pedal then...and use it all up as soon as possible and fill with unlead when you can.... that should minimize any potentail problem.... Again, E10 won't blow up your car the first time you use it....

Hello again, does anybody plan a run to Bira Circuit next sunday? Some time ago there have been cruises from Bangkok down to Pattaya to join some racing events there. Some nice old pics are hidden somewhere in this thread Is something similar planned for the next weekend? Best regards, David
Sorry to crash this thread but was hoping to meet up with some fellow Fchatters in Thailand. I will be in BKK Nov 4th to 7th and again in Pattaya and BKK Nov 20 to Dec 2nd. Are there any events I might be able to catch? Appreciate a reply! Steve
Haha...bad economy freeze most of us in office. Some are even rarely drive their pony. Dont mention time to surf in Fchat as before. Like our buddy said, we always have coffee every Sunday morning @ Starbucks Thonglor. Plz stop by if you guys are here
For driving event, we will go one day trip to Rose garden on this coming Sunday. And on mid-December, we will spend weekend holidays at Toscana resort, Khao Yai
I was beginning to wonder! I will be in BKK the first week of Nov. How far is the Starbucks from the Grand Hyatt? Would be fun to meet up! Steve
