Has anybody here ever attended one of the F1 car unveilings at Maranello? It is planned for January 16 at the factory and I'm considering going. What can I expect? Is it worth it? Do you get to talk to the drivers/team? Will they show you the factory? Any information would be helpful.
You're right, you need to get invited. I get that invitation on a regular basis. Maybe because I'm an owner or maybe because I've been to the factory or maybe because I'm a member of their world fan club, who knows.
IIRC you can simply apply for an invite on the owners site. I don't know anyone who's been so can't help you there Andreas. I think you should go and let the rest of us know if its worth it
I was invited to the launch of the F2004 and thought it was OK. You are not supposed to have a camera, but everyone did. Many were taking pics of everything. I did have my camera so I took a few shots of the car unveiling. I looked over at Katiusia, our guide, and noticed a very stern look. I have not been asked back since. We went for the weekend, and was looked upon as crazy by our family and friends. I did get to select the correct seat size for my Stradale by sitting in cars in the prep area of the factory. That was a plus MS walked by me on the way in, but wasn't speaking to anyone. You pretty much can't get close enough to anyone to speak with them or even get a picture with them (no cameras, remember). Very little in the way of showing you the factory, arrange your own tour via the owners site.
