Because I'm driving an F40. The smile doesn't leave, even when you get pulled over. Even the cops smile, btw.
They went easy on us but let's just say, well, high speeds were reached. Complaints were called in by the bicyclist we passed on the way up. Keeping up with a F430 in a 328 takes a lot of work. -F
This was a good one. Cop pulled me over because he could not read my inspection stickers he said. I asked him, if he just really wanted to look at the car up close? Smiled with a grin on his, face, then called his buddy on duty as well to check out the car. I had to take a photo........ Image Unavailable, Please Login
If you did that in Switzerland (taking a pic of a cop during a control) you'd automatically end up in jail. Seriously no fun here. Marcel Massini
My friend Johan and his Miura in Sweden...they did not give him a hard time, I suspect it was the usual curiositiy more than anything else. I had a lucky escape in upstate New York on a forest road in the Adirondacks during a Ferrari North America road rally I was covering for Cavallino in June 2000. Normally I spot police cars decently well but I missed one because another Ferrari was headed in the wrong direction and we tried to wave at him...so I did not see the hidden police/state trooper SUV...but soon saw the siren behind me...so right away I put my hazard lights on and slowed down very smoothly and gradually which subdued him a bit. The 550, supplied by FNA, had manufacturer plates which he had never seen and my passenger was also a journalist, Jackie, in charge of that new magazine Forza. The fact that we were very polite and out to write a nice article about his beautiful region led to him being indulgent: "I won't give you a ticket because if I gave you a ticket for 110mph here the judge won't let you drive! Please take it easy from now on."....phew So I drove very shyly after that for a while Little did he know we had briefly reached 138mph on a long straight with perfect visibility minutes before. Of course it is all fiction officer, really MS MS Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would love to. It's my favorite country in the world: stunning scenery, wonderful people, great cycling. But I would have to learn to drive my ferraris slow or make pilgrimages into Germany and to Nurburgring to get my speed fix.
This guy tried to drift his 458 through a busy car show parking lot... in the rain... and in front of a cop. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The first cop wanted to take a pic of the car but his camera battery was dead...so he called the second cop!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is the best thread ever. Almost makes me look forward to getting pulled over during the next Sunday drive.
Can't remember if I posted these. My friend's Diablo is VERY VERY LOUD! RED and loud doesn't go well with cops. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good thing about Dubai is that cops don't target you if you drive a "fancy" car ... In my case the cops even drive the same car sometimes Image Unavailable, Please Login
Some they probably got for free, donated by the dealers directly for branding and some donated by rich locals just because. However I am sure that they must have paid full price on some of the super exclusive stuff because no dealer will give those away.
The Local constabulary are still looking for this guy...M5 is Sydney's busiest freeway. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0NK_wgl9n8Q
I have been pulled over a few times for RBT's and for the Coppers to check my Ferrari out. I don't have any pics unfortunately, but I am sure random people driving past probably do.
