Ferrparts

Bought a lot from them new and used. Got all my Challenge parts from them. Russ us very good and fair pricing.

 

Russ seems to be a standup guy. Just ordered a 30K kit and LH/RH head gaskets from him today. Best price I could find for the same top of the line parts found elsewhere.

 

Never had an issue with Russ he's great , I just order he bills me, done

Maybe your parts are coming in a second package, had that a few times

 

I have had very positive experience with them the last two years with around 10 transactions.

Two weeks ago I ordered a simple horn button for $60

I received the wrong one (worth much more than that). I called them, emailed photos, and they corrected the error. I returned the wrong horn button at my expense, and they sent me a Ferrari yearbook for free for the inconvenience.

I think they are aware of a new staff member that is error prone. Otherwise they have been great.

I've dealt with Ferrparts and its been smooth everytime. On my last order I dealt with Punu and he gave me a great price ...and they did ship my items separately so I would check with him tomorrow.

 

I've bought thousands and thousands of dollars worth of parts from them and have had many perfect transactions but a few that left me scratching my head. I always deal with Russ.

When I bought my 348 major service kit from them I discussed with Russ wanting to do a upgraded Hill Bearings kit if he would provide it. He sent me a screen shot of Another well known parts suppliers kit that only includes hill bearings and said it would be that exact kit just the better price he gave me. So i buy it and then get too busy to do my major and leave it set a side without looking at the kit. When I do open it up it is just the standard cheap bearings and some other items we expressly talked about in writing are not right. I email Russ... No response. I think this is the only time I've ever been truly disappointed in them and it was not made right. I wasn't going to ever buy from them again but then they end up having something you need at a decent price and you go back to them...

Recently I bought a transmission tunnel for my Diablo from them at a pretty hefty sum. Took them over a month to get around to pulling the part from the donar car.

So I guess I mean to say they can be a mixed bag, usually just right but they do have more screw ups then most professional companies I'm used to.

 

I did buy parts from.them once and one set of valve guides was not shipped. I just asked him to refund my money.

He did.

Only ordered from them once a long time ago. I eventually got the part but it took ages of hassling them to eventually send it, and when it arrived it wasn't in the condition claimed. Hopefully things have changed.

 

I have ordered several things from Ferrparts. One time he shipped the wrong motor mounts, but was quick to make it right. I am sure you can work things out with Russ. Try and contact him direct. I am sure he would rather hear from you prior to reading about the problem.

 

I've picked up parts from Ferrparts in person from Russ before they moved shops. Good guys there. They let me rummage around and picked the best used parts of the bunch. Had a fun afternoon. Great place.

But...to the original poster. You post yesterday that you were PLANNING to buy from them. Then 20 minutes later you state that you had already ordered from them and things were missing? huh? haha......before posting about it, I probably would have just called the vendor.

But.....alas. I think the reviews on Ferrparts are pretty positive, including mine.

 

I deal with Russ all the time as many members of the FCA need parts, they offer the best prices and have inventory in house which saved time and money. They do offer discounts if you mention you are a Ferrari Club of America member, just need to remember to ask Russ for the discount.

 

Bought my 2nd removable top from Russ with hardware. Excellent experience. But Bruce (lugzit) handled it. I think he knows him pretty well.

 

Ferrparts is great. Just remember they get their new parts from all over depending on the deals they have in place.

Getting more than one package is not unusual. Many times I have received parts from three places or more from one order...and the deliveries were several days apart.
