In lots of states the wrong plate, EV or not is good for getting car impounded and a trip to jail until its sorted out.

Happened to a friend on a Friday night and it was his plate. Monday he got to explain to a judge.

 

I'm sure he volunteers and gets tax exempt status for having the plate, nice way to represent. sarcasm intended

 

Maybe it's the Fire Chief's car? It is the right color.

I did same thing.

I drive that intersection quite often and I know the guy who owns red Pista in that area. I'm not sure if that is his car.

Oh, he is definitely not a fire chief.

 

Firefighters in NV make $$$. The overtime they get is wild, on top of the base salary... maybe not Pista money but certainly 430 or financed 458 money!

According to records kept by Transparent Nevada, the Henderson Fire chief made $190,463.52 in regular pay in 2018. Reno's battalion chief made $183,146.52. The fire chief in Sparks made $182,308.

The director for Las Vegas Fire & Rescue made $173,664.23 and the fire chief for Clark County made $165,115.21.

Fire captains for Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Clark County appear to make around $105,000 per year. Fire engineers appear to make around $94,000; fire inspectors make approximately $87,000; and firefighter (second grade) made about $80,000 in 2018.

the retirement and benefits are insane in calif.
a few yrs ago it was disclosed that 5 lifeguards in so. calif earned almost $500k per yr(base plus overtime). then they retire at something like 80% of their salary for life plus full medical.

 

maybe and just maybe - the driver is aware that most suburban Philadelphia townships have passed no high speed pursuit order. so if you have a fake tag there is no way to even send you a ticket or be waiting for you. Just a thought.
