Has anyone here taken their Ferrari on this ferry? They say that it will not be exposed to salt water during the process.

    Thoughts?

    Best,

Cars are packed tight together, open door routine. Car owners walk against your car as they pass.

Can't say I've been on it but salt should not be a problem. Bring your car cover if you are concerned about that. AS mentioned above, I'd be far more concerned by other passengers and doors. Call ahead to see if they have a safe corner.

agreed. I might go in a few weeks, the trick is to show up and get in the front of line near the time that a boat had departed. It should be an empty lot of lines for next bigger boat. You dont want the small ones, wait for the big capacity one and get to the front with a special request they will lead u there.

I think door dings are not too common if you get a good side row, and park it a few extra inches toward the wall of the ship. The only foot traffic u deal with is when the boat departs and arrives at destination. Just be the first and last to be at your car, and you can go whoop ass on any noobs who show disrespect as they pass :) ehheheh

Yes, brought mine on the ferry 2 months ago. Salt not a problem, but beware of door dings. You can purchase 2 tickets, to give yourself the extra space.

Also you want the REAR (stern) of the boat. The boarding stairs are in the front, and people walk past with their bags etc.

Ask attendant beforehand for a good spot, preferably the last on the ship

I've taken this ferry 100's of times, mostly with my Porsche, BUT was nervous about the Ferrari, but the atttendant gave me a spot by myself in the back, perfect, no door dings.

my car was up front and i got some salt water splashed on it.... other than that no problem, and being in the back would also help too. the unloading ramp is a bit steep as well. it's a really nice ride though.
