First off, I had a blast at the event. Got to meet alot of very nice people and spend some time in my car. This was the 3rd time I have driven the Challenge car. Wed, I spent practicing and getting my NASA license. I was supposed to qualify and race on thursday, but I was going by the schedule and apparently the times were moved up a few hours so I missed both. Friday I did not practice at all, just qualified and raced. I qualified on the pole with a 1:21.665 just ahead of the 458 Challenge car at 1:22.574. The race was fun, I managed to lead the race up until I felt a bad vibration which turned out to be a cut tire. I was trying my best keep the 458 behind me..:) I just needed 3 more laps.. I slowed down quite a bit and ended up 3rd. I was happy with the way my old 430 performed.

Yes Rob, I was their for three days. It was a good time. The track was interesting because it is an old race course combined with a street course.
Turn one was a high speed turn being the best part of the track. The back section of the course I found to be a bit more tricky with bumps/dips and lined with concrete barriers. If you made a mistake, you paid for it.

A couple of "instructors", unfortunately, paid the price of making a small mistake and found no runoff.

Overall, Savannah was a good time with wonderful people. It was a successful national event for FCA.

Many thanks to Dave Scott for moving the challenge races to 1:00 pm instead of 5:00 pm. We were all wiped out by the end of the day.

I loved that track. Turn 1 was my favorite part of the whole thing. It was a great event and will be in Ca. next year for sure.

SW, thank you and rest of the Ferrari Challenge owners for coming to this event and participating in the inaugural Seibert Cup! You guys made this happen, and we sincerely appreciate seeing you there. I'm really sorry the schedule was changed and you were not notified, as I think you may have won overall. The Seibert Cup is award to the best driver, and not just who finishes first, and I hope this will continue for next years annual meet.

I wish we had met, especially after hearing about the twin turbo 430! The way you drove that 430c, are you sure it wasn't tweaked? LOL You sure drove the wheels off of it. Finally, would you come to Savannah again? I would really like to establish and annual event there.

Thank you. Yes, for some reason a few people thought my Challenge car was tweaked, but it's not, yet :). I was very dissapointed that I missed the race on Thursday, but I had a great time anyway and yes, I will come to Savannah again. My wife & I enjoyed the city very much. Everyone was very nice, even our Cab driver.. I will make sure I introduce myself to you next time and if I bring the twin-turbo Scud, give you a ride!

Short video from the race, my Go Pro was having some problems with auto focus and ran out right before the lats few laps. You can see on the start, I was trying to speed everyone up and I early shifted to third, but the green flag dropped and I was a little late on the hit but I did not lift..I wanted to get ahead of the 458..:)
