A happy ending!!! This morning, 60 mph, wet roads and fresh SottoZero's, 100 feet in front of me I see a deer in the opposite lane, crossing into my path, hooves slipping like mad trying to get traction on the wet pavement. Fortunately I wake the heck up and STAND on the brakes, missing the deer by inches. You should have seen its face, that deer in the headlights look! The brakes on the FF even on wet roads are SPECTACULAR ... WOW ... I was sure I was going to have deer breath as it came through my windshield. The car was already down to maybe 20 mph as the dear was clearing the road. All happened in a split second and never touched the deer.

Hopefully this is the LAST time I post this kind of thread. :D

Would have been even better braking with summer tires.

This morning it was about 40 degrees so I think I am lucky to have had the SottoZero's on it. Less than 100 feet from 60 mph it was pretty good. It may have even been closer.
