I had this come up yesterday on my 2014 FF with 32K miles. Interstate AGM battery put in 16 months ago (so not battery issue). Did the Ferrari two step turn off and turn on. Light remained consistently coming up each time. Heading on road trip on Friday with it, so I ran it over to my independent mechanic to run on Leonardo. "P2179 fault code stored in left ECU." No further explanation. Some quick internet research reflected this means "system too lean off idle bank two." He cleared the code. Since then, had not show up again. Thoughts? Other research on F chat for this code revealed: no issues, low fuel pressure going to that bank of engine, pre cursor to eventual fuel pump needing replacement, and various sensor connectors being loose. Did not have time to trouble shoot. Car has always been running fine. Will see how it plays out.
After several false solutions it turned out to be a bad carbon cannister (it basically had disintegrated).
