    Hi folks,

Proud owner and daily driver of a 2013 FF. Car is well loved and just passed 81k miles on the odometer.

Despite being a generally reliable vehicle, I've come across a strange issue that my local mechanic can't solve.

Before I go further, I replaced the Mopar head unit with a modern Sony unit last Spring. I add because my mechanic thinks that might be related to the problems below, but mostly because these issues didn't happen until after the audio upgrade (albeit many, many months later).

    SHORT VERSION
While driving with manettino in Comfort position, random lift system failure messages. While driving in Sport position, random, momentary losses of power.

    LONGER VERSION
Sometime last fall, I came out to the car, started it up, and got the lift system failure message. Message would reappear randomly, but usually after parked. A night on the tender would generally resolve, and lift system worked fine when there was no error on the dash. System inspection by my local mechanic found no leaks or obvious issues. Given the high cost to replace the system (you have to install the GTC4lusso pump and lines), and the fact I've never had a need for the lift, I just ignored.

One fine day I decided to put the car in Sport mode and left it there. Coincidentally (???) I stopped getting the lift errors. But a few weeks later, while driving, car momentarily lost power. This caused the head unit to reboot and the dash to light up like a Christmas tree. After 30 seconds, however, everything cleared.

I've lost power a half dozen times in the last couple of months, but its never been more than a nuisance. Last week, however, I was on the freeway when it happened. It took longer than usual to 'reboot', and when it did, it came back on in neutral with the parking break engaged. At 70mph. Yeah, that was fun.

After my freeway adventure I put the car back in Comfort mode and drove it home with no drama. Lift system failure the next morning. I then decided to temp fate and switched back to Sport. Didn't make it two miles before power cut.

So guys, any ideas? I've searched the forums and will be looking at all the terminals, electrical lines, or anywhere else we can find a short. Might even throw a new battery in, even though this one tests fine, is only a year old, and voltage levels look good when parked and while driving. I also know the importance of keeping these cars on tenders, but given I drive mine almost every day that's never been an issue in the past.

    Thanks!
