I had the opportunity to run my FF a few kilomters at high speed early morning. Alignement is perfect, body height has been adjusted, tyres pressure checked. Feedback: The car runs very safely from straight lines to long curves, the engine pulls easily the car from low to last gears, litlle to no wind noise in the cabin. The brakes really need to be warmed, the first high speed braking trully lacks of power (I feel the same with the Porsche PCCB) nevertheless once warmed the braking power is perfect. The DCT gearbox works great but I felt kind of little "dead points" from 6th to 7th at high revs. I mean the high revs 6th to 7th shifting feels no as sharp as in the lower gears or at low revs, did some of you already feel this? It was a very great moment, the V12 symphony end 5th with no traffic at all and the rising sun is... magic!
Interesting that you had little to no wind noise in the cabin at high speed. We find that around 240kph the wind noise starts to rise very quickly.
To Anopax: It is possible to raise a bit the glass pressure on the seals, there are 2 Allen screws under the doors wich allow to adjust the glass angle. If not enough others things are also possible we can talk about it, I worked on it as I can't stand disturbing noises in my cars.
Update: my FF get serviced today. The car was all right but had 2 gearbox cells, something like "mainshaft overrev" and "mainshaft synchronization" (But nothing at the dashboard). They reset the DCT (and all ECU). I manage to check the high speed shifting and it is now perfect, no more issue. I'm glad to have serviced my beloved FF!
