using a nano. updated software. when i sort by artist it doesnt show all the songs by the artist. so if i click metallica it only brings up 20 of the 82 songs i have from them. any thoughts? when im at the highest menu, songs, it sees them all.

I have never counted music in mine. I HATE stupid i... stuff but carry a iPhone and have an iPod in the FF ... the hate comes from the world's worst software, iTunes. I only have one device loaded with music because stupid iTunes keeps deleting everything whenever I have to move to a new computer. And the really stupid iCloud seems to not work much at all.

It doesn't. It might be clunky but it works 100%. User error.

Try the new version of itunes. It runs better but it does have some things to get used to. Anyway, doesnt the ipod just plug in to the FF? How does it work in that car anyway? Cool snow wheels!

This is becoming rather tangential...but, if a new computer is "authorized," does the whole library and the playlists migrate over? I'm having a similar problem with a new computer not having all my stuff including apps and video.
