    I am purchasing a local used 2015 FF from a non dealer. It is off lease with only 1 key. The nearest dealer said almost $1000 for another key and $179 to prigram it.

    I intend to send the car to the dealer immediately after purchase to buy 2 years of warranty. However, is this correct; $1179 for a new key?

    I’m pushing the local guy to get me a key to complete the sale, however, I think Ferrari is unlikely to sell him a programmed key.

    Sounds not far off. It was about $1K for a key for my 430. (I have never lost a car key in my life, but figured the one time I might would be the one time I didn’t have a spare.)

    And no, FNA will not sell a key to anyone other than the registered owner. Proof of ownership is required to prevent them from enabling the easiest car theft in the world.
