By no means am I any sort of FF expert but I have had AWD cars encounter similar issues (i.e. simple maneuver and all hell breaks loose on the dash where all you see is $$$$$$$$$), and each time it was either a simple sensor gone wrong or in case a bad battery.

Keep us posted and I hope it IS something simple!

I haven't had my FF do this (yet) but my BMW X5M did it several times. Glitch always disappeared with a restart after a minute off to reset.

These sorts of things, if you don't hear or feel anything wrong with the car, but instead get one error after another are usually due to a cascading computer hiccup. A restart will likely cure the situation. Finding the cause would be more frustrating so hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Dang. Too many sensors on these beasts to go wrong.

The Ghibli is nice but it only has half an engine (6 cyl.)

Stephen, the only problem I see in the photos is that you have 4,989 miles :) ... hopefully this is a very new car? Mine is over 42,000 miles now but sits at the dealer with an engine light and clicking in the rear (already on other threads). The speed sensor makes perfect sense with the warnings that you popped and since ABS no longer works (brakes will work great but since there is a rear bias the back end can break loose) the car is smart enough to make you limp along. I too love my FF :D

I had a speed sensor problem and change, but for me the problem was car would not shift past 1 gear and had only transmission light on

    Good luck

Also agree with Rick that low mileage is a problem, I am trying to catch up to him, maybe now that his car is in dealer I can get closer to his 42,000 miles!

I had a warning which indicated speed sensor the result was a new transmission? it seems the speed sensor is a small part but because of trying to keep the transmision as compact as posssible the part cannot be changed so the transmison being Gatrag as to be changed and go back to gatrag.

I hope they have it in stock mine was three weeks?

Love the FF just ordered a new one for January collection!

Ahh the love affair continues...picked up the car today and it was just the speed sensor. Overall the service experience was excellent and I am "completely satisfied" with the dealership, Ferrari of Ft Lauderdale.

I have had the car since January and use it as my daily driver but I don't put on lot of miles as I have a short commute to the office. I agree 4,100 miles is not enough.

For the record..I also have a F12 and drove it while the FF was in the shop. The F12 is an amazing car but I just did not feel as comfortable as driving the FF. Maybe it's because I tend to drive the F12 much harder...lol.

BTW the Ghibli is ok ...like a Lincoln or Caddy but not on par with previous Maserati's. I guess something needs to be sacrificed in order to lower the price.

I don't subscribe to anyone's idea of how much mileage is "enough." "Enough" is what you choose it to be.

I know what you mean about the FF v F12. Two very different variations on the V12 theme.

Interesting observation on the Ghibli. I would have thought that Maser must offer some "zest" that you can't get with anything else in that price range if they are going to compete in that market. Perhaps coming from the FF it is hard to detect it??

Anyway glad you're all set and back on the road. I leave on Friday for a 850 mile run across the SW.
