Hey Guys. I wanted to thank everyone for the help over the last months regarding my FF questions. In August I took a demo car from the dealer for a drive and felt it just didn't fit me the way I had hoped. The morning getting there was busy with work and I had a lot on my mind, back and neck were a bit sore/tense and I think that really played on my outlook of the car. I left thinking it was not for me and wad really disappointed. A few weeks later I thought I'd give it another try because I really wanted to like the car but was surprised that I did not enjoy the previous drive as expected. This time I did not drive my 458 to the test drive which is 140 km away and I think that really helped me separate the cars. I realized that in my first drive I was comparing the cars unintentionally and that too took away from the enjoyment. This time I was far more relaxed, spent the day enjoying it with my wife. We did a little shopping, went to lunch and really fell in love with the drive and comfort. So after much debate about exterior color and when I wanted to actually take delivery.... I finally decided to take an incoming dealer ordered car that had all of the specifications that I was going to select aside from a few minor differences. The car does not have the yellow brakes I would've selected and does have ventilated seats and the passenger display which I would not have selected. I am fine with these minor items however anything else and I would have waited until April on the order. Now here we are and in two days I will pick up my FF. We have the car outfitted with Pirelli Sottozero winter tires so I can enjoy it right off the bat. Here are the specifications. Grigio Titano Lift AFS lights Shields Diamond cut 20" wheels Black interior with Grigio stitching Yellow tach LED carbon steering wheel Passenger display Heat + ventilated seating A few other minor things I'm missing I will take the high speed train to Frankfurt and drive home Monday. Thursday night we will leave with the car for a weekend at the snow in Garmisch. I'll be excited to test it in the snow and mountains! I'll post pictures here after I have picked it up!!!
After having our FF for the last three weeks on loan from our dealer.. we bought the car today. You'll love it! Congrats.
Congratulations!!! Yeah, a bad day at work can really screw up your whole outlook! Glad you went back. Drive it in good health.
Congratulations! You will really enjoy driving in snow it's very capable. I did 15k miles in my 2012 FF and will pick up from the factory a new 2015 Ff in a few weeks time. Can't wait seriously miss driving the FF.
For me it's just my mood. I love my FF. If I could only have one it would be the FF. Don't get me wrong the 458 is awesome but it sure is cool to be able to load up the family and take the Ferrari. With that being said I drove the 458 today with the top down. Weather is awesome.
The wise guy answer is "Both." But if I had to make a choice I would keep the FF just because being more practical I drive it a lot more and thus get more FCar driving time. And then there is the V12 ....
Well I got to Frankfurt at 1500, left with the car at 1630 and was home around 1800. Went for a quick drive with my wife and son afterwards then a fuel stop as the light came on. 240 km and 68 liters of fuel. We got the Bluetooth phone and streaming working so that's a bonus. In all I couldn't be more satisfied!
Ha. 8.3 mpg if I did the arithmetic right. BTW I have done a 300 km stint at a steady 140 kph and got close to 19 mpg. Just to see what it would do.
Beautiful car! Congratulations! Can't wait to hear of your thoughts about the car in snow, with pics, please.
Very nice spec, black calipers are a nice touch. It is a very subtle and good looking FF. I do really like Titano on the FF, which I think looks best in the greys but Titano is not too dark like GS. Wish I had gone down to Ulrich to see it today as I was just near there at around 3pm...
Das Auto und die Farbkombination sind einfach wunderschön, auch wirklich Bestens geeignet, um daraus einen "Daily Driver" zu machen! Congrats, and enjoy in good health!
Ah, that is too bad we didn't bump into each other. Thank you for the compliments (on the car). I'm very happy too with the specs. My wife asked me tonight about painting the brakes yellow and I told her they're just fine!!! You should always stop by Ulrich when in the neighborhood
Congratulations! Beautiful and tasteful. I think black calipers go better with that particular wheel design. Yellow would be too distracting in my opinion. Please post interior pics. Enjoy in good health Cheers,
